Saw this at a packed out 02 - was expecting to be disappointed after reading some of the reviews...I wasn't.
Denzel is always a pleasure to watch; he has great screen presence.
Wish they has explained what was the catalyst that caused him to turn to drink.

There were a few people having loud conversations while the movie was on + giving running commentary - seriously people WTF!

Wow, beanbags, I think they could be a useful addition to some of the London cinemas, which get packed really quickly. Although, you could struggle to get people to leave after the screening finished because of how comfy they'd be ;)

I personally really enjoyed the film, even seeing DW half naked (he's still got it!). I didn't expect it to be so graphic with the drug taking but its a part of the story that needs to be told.

I'd recommend it for others to see, but will say get comfy seats as I had a numb arse by the time we left!
Did I see you?? :) I was in Vue Norwich too... and yes cinema was full.. Glad I too arrived on time, otherwise I wuld have ended up sitting on beanbag... :)

Anyways, my view of the film differs to you... I like the crash sequence and DW acting, but not much of screenplay or story.. It was bit long than I expected... I really don't know what Kelly Reilly added to the film... Her role didn't had any impact on DW...

I would give 5 or at max 6 out of 10.... 5-6/10

Went to see this last night at Edinburgh Vue. Enjoyed this film a lot. Could easily have been shorter though as extra story line with him and female addict who just happened to meet on a stairway was unnecessary. Also John Goodman character was out of place in this film. Would have liked more scenes with Don Cheadle as his lawyer character was the type who is normally the bad guy but was great in the few scenes he had. If this had come out in December would have been on the Oscar list. Overall 7/10.

I thought this was really good. I had low expectations following early comments and knew to expect a drama rather than an action film.

The one thing I thought they might have brought up in the crash investigation
that although it was a defective part as the main cause of the crash he did push the plane to it's limits at the start of the flight that could have put incredible strain on parts of the plane. Even if they'd mention it an rule it out.
Queues seem to start ever earlier these days. I was killing time in Croydon between films and got fed up loitering in shops so got to the cinema for the Flight preview earlier than I planned. But there was already quite a queue at 5.45 pm.

I think its because ppl that have been refused entry before are just getting earlier to ensure their place, I was refuse in shaftesbury for arriving 15 min bfore the movie was supposed to start , and since then I decided to arrive 30 min before ;) but arriving 45min earlier that is just being a super fan :p

Usually arriving 30 minutes before is plenty unless it's a really popular film but if you want a good seat in the Sky superscreen balcony at the O2, you have to be insanely early. If I am off work that day I can do this but if I am at work it's a struggle to get anywhere within half an hour so I have no idea where all these early people come from - do they leave work early or live close or what?
