I didn't get the email alert today. I happened to be elsewhere on the site when it was posted and saw it that way.

Did not get email alerts either? Will try unsubscribing and then subscribing or is there a problem at the moment

I don't normally post here as there isn't any real solution that I've heard of and the alerts usually magically start working again but I've been having big problems for the past few weeks too and the amount of subscribing/unsibscribing I do doesn't seem to help at all.

I am really sorry to hear of everyone's problems with site alerts. I have no idea where the problem lies or how to fix it - I am here so much that I often enough see the posts here before I find the emails for them so I don't keep track of alerts.

Although unsbuscribing and re-subscribing can work, you really should use this link http://www.fmuk.org.uk/forum/viewforum. ... ark=topics
to mark all topics in free films read. Its possible that when posts are deleted the topic doesn't report as fully read anymore unless you do it.

I often do this but still have the problem... I just hope for the best and that I'll log in just as there's an alert... :confused:

I've done this and also unsubscribed/resubscribed and still didn't get todays alert. I've actually not had a free film alert for a couple of weeks now, but am still get other alerts. :confused:

It's always going to relate to a thread not having been read. The board is still sending out emails fine.
Sometimes, alas, when a thread is moved, but the board still requires it to be read if you were subscribed to its original forum.
So, assuming that's Free Films, y'all need to mark the regional boards, Competitions and Expired Stuff as read. And Free Films of course.
