Tangled
Re: Tangled
So tempted to stay in bed this morning as it was an early one, but in the end glad I made the effort, it was a nice way to start the year! Maximus and Pascal definitely were the highlights for me too, and the ruffians in the pub singing about having a dream had some funny lyrics (“my smile could curdle dairy!”). I expected to kind of snooze through this, but I surprised myself and liked it a lot so will go along with a pretty good 8/10.

Re: Tangled
Had to pick up a friend of my GD's to take to Cardiff Vue - got lost using the sat nav. So when I eventually got said friend into the car was running a bit late. Got to the Vue just in time. It was chaos there, you could have just walked in off the street and got in. There were so many children and parents wanting sweets and snacks that the staff were overwhelmed. The cinema was extremely full and I was glad that I had brought my own 3D specs, as it appeared that the cinema had run out. One person was heard to say this and luckily someone offered a set so there no disappointed people watching a fuzzy film.
Was a bit sceptical about the film having seen the Princes and the Frog but this was a really good animation. Agree with many who have said that the 3D was a bit wasted but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maximus was/is of course the star of the show for me a pity the Oscars don't have a category for best cartoon character. Not too keen on the singing, as they don't write tunes like they used to, nothing you can sing along with these days.
Good reports from the girls who skipped along on the way back to the car.
8/10

Re: Tangled
If my daughter had not been so excited about seeing this I would of skipped Tangled this morning.......kids had kindly shared their tummy bug they had earlier in the week and i was not feeling good at all!!
I managed the first 20 minutes then the girl next to me opened some really smelly crisps or something and I had to abandon my children with my friend & sister
I went back home to bed and have been there all day, just starting to feel human again!
It didn't disappoint them from what I have heard, had a rather giggly excited retelling from the pair of them, I was worried it might be a bit girly for my 8 year old son but apparently not. Luckily I still have a set of tickets for next weekend and as they enjoyed it so much am going to go again next week.
I read some comments about taking children to screenings, I think its down to the parents how they behave, mine know what is expected, that we find seats, pop back out to the loo before it starts and then they have to sit nicely and watch the film......giggling allowed. I think its also a case of choosing your films, I wouldn't of took my son to Tinkerbell & I wouldn't of took my daughter to Tron, if its something they will enjoy they will behave, i often show them the trailer and ask them if they want to see it.

We also went to Westfields, but only for an hour until we'd had enough!

Re: Tangled
Got to Shepherds Bush at around 10:10, so, by the time we grabbed a seat, the film was about to start. Glad we didn't arrive later. I'd be really annoyed to miss the start of the film. This was also a good excuse to go shopping at Westfield centre.
I don't usually like Disney movies that much but this one was funnier than usual. I loved the chameleon and the horse. Could do without the 3D and the singing, though. It felt like I was watching the musical Into the Woods in some parts. 7/10

There sure have got a lot of designer brand retail stores including Louis Vitton, whome I still despise for making a long time ex girlfriend force me to b*y a bloody handbag for £400...£400 wtf, a tiny handbag that looks like its made out of golfer pants.

Re: Tangled
I only walked as far as the station with MrG, as I had other things to do, but I have been several times already. It's huge. There is going to be another Westfield opening soon in Stratford, right next to the Olympic Park, supposed to be the largest shopping centre in Europe! More temptations!valda wrote:Mr G and pxc went as well, I avoided it as its only 10 mins from my house so I can go anytimecheekyweelassie wrote:We also went to Westfields, but only for an hour until we'd had enough!valda wrote:Shepherds Bush had a big turn out from the FMUKers
