Not too bad, pretty much as expected. Would have been nice if the tone was more in keeping with Number Four's 'dad' who seemed a bit more tongue in cheek than everyone else.

Also, hard to escape the feeling that this was just setting up a potential franchise, but isn't that the norm these days!

Heard Tom Hardy on TV last night say that everyone on Inception had a sequel clause in their contract as standard, even though a sequel wasn't or isn't planned as far as he knows.

I tuned in specially for Tom then switched over for Ashton (shallow me?) I thought he said that most things you sign up to have a sequel clause just in case.

I also notice that his name seems to be taken off Fury Road
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Sorry, that's what I meant.

You could see it as the studios not wanting any trouble rehiring the cast should there be a surprise hit, like with Crispin Glover and Back to the Future, or cynically you could see it as - if there's any chance at all of a film being a hit, they are going to make sure they can keep churning out sequels until they have rung every last ounce of cash and goodwill out of the movie.

I'm pretty sure the Greenwich viewing was cancelled beforehand. If you have a look through this thread it's been mentioned a couple of time.

Mmmm...agree with previous poster in that its clearly setting up for a franchise. Unfortunately it just didnt deliver for me. Think Twilight meets X Men but with a total lack of invention or wit. I'm sure its target (teen) audience will disagree.

No, the ODEON Greenwich screening with SFF was cancelled. The Cineworld (O2) screening with Sky was oversubscribed.

Watched this in Streatham odeon which was near full to capacity. I was really in The mood for a film like this - switch off the brain and just let it suck you up as it takes you on a journey!
There were quite a few jumpy bits in it too - in fact I was fearful that it may have kick started my labour! Alas, not the case or nothing has happened so far...

I can't wait for the sequel....solid 8/10 from me.
