Who's nominated?
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

PJ Harvey won for Let England Shake. An unsurprising win perhaps but it's definitely one of the best British albums of the year.

The other nominees were Adele, Anna Calvi, Elbow, Everything Everything, Ghostpoet, Gwylim Simcock, James Blake, Katy B, King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, Metronomy, Tinie Tempah.

Here's an interesting article on how the iPod has changed a generation of people. Particularly interesting bit about headphones.

I went to an author event on Saturday and there was a singer/songwriter duo there as they inspired the author for one book and in turn turned lyrics from another one of her books into a song. They performed the two songs and I really, really liked them. They musicians are called Jonas and Plunkett has anyone ever heard of them?

I filmed the songs if you want to check them out:

Wierdy, you could go the whole hog and get Superfly the movie, then you've got a classic soundtrack on a classic Blaxploitation movie.

Or Curtis has the awesome ' Move on Up' on it. Remember Youtube is great for looking up old songs. i'm now lost in memories, isaac Hayes, Shaft, early Kool and the Gang, Papa was a Rolling Stone by the Temptations. Sly and the Family Stone.

I should lend you my 50 years of Motown CD

I wanna go back to the 70's :noo: :tears:
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks
