Finally saw this today. I must admit I didn't really have great hopes for the film as I really like the "old" Disney films best.
However, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and found the film very entertaining. In fact, I would say that some of the adults enjoyed it more than the kids as there was some great nostalgia seeing all the old characters. I found Ralph to be a very appealing character and wanted things to work out for him! :giggle:
I also think the adults appreciated the short film "The Paperman" more than the kids. I loved the use of B & W and red lipstick.
Great way to spend a Saturday morning! o/

Went to the screening in Wimbledon. After a slight mix-up over exactly which screen it was being shown in, the audience was probably only about 1/2 to 2/3 full.

Movie itself was great. Had been wanting to see this since I saw the first trailer, and I personally wasn't disappointed. Loved the realisation of the world and the way the different games co-existed in their own universe. Characters were great, especially John C Reilly's Ralph. Completely forgot about the 3D about half way through (not sure if that's good or bad), but definitely look forward to picking this up on blu-ray in a few months time.

Oh, and the preceding short, Paperman, was stunning. CG animation in a monochromatic hand-drawn style... was very impressive. Anyone who enjoyed it should track down the visual progression reel on YouTube.

We took our little girl yesterday and we thought the movie was really good. She fell asleep halfway through so didn't disrupt anyone.

Screening in Manchester Printworks was maybe 1/3 to 1/2 full which is a little frustrating when you consider how quickly the tickets have been going!

Good simple frenetic fun that benfits from a big screen tremendously and the 3D worked mostly a treat. Suprised this movie took so long to evolve, we used to talk about a movie like this in the playground.

John C.Reilly as Ralph, Jane Lynch as a butch marine from Hero’s Duty, Jack McBrayer as Felix and Sarah Silverman as a little girl Ralph becomes embroiled with all play their parts to perfection, bringing to life brilliantly conceived and performed characters. The script is strong, pushing all the right buttons and the characters are leaps and bounds above what most video games can conjure.

Despite its kiddie-friendliness the excellent plotting makes this quite the pulse pounding experience by the time of the thrilling climax. Wreck-It Ralph features a wonderful voice cast at the top of their game. Audiences are bound to be addicted, inserting more coins at the box office until they get a sequel.

Will deffinartely be looking at this, thanks for the idea.

Loved rawr_xoxos' git voucher

No problems in Cardiff but surprised that the place wasn't that full. Normally the attendance at any child friendly film is enormous. Great black & white short even GS sat through and made relevant comments. The main film was brilliant. Great characters with voices that matched seamlessly.
I was watching for all the 'older' computer games I used to play myself, and the newer shootem' up style with hd. Good plots, at child level and adult. Had tears again as Ralf was going to ..... just like Iron Giant, which reduces me to a quivering wreck everytime I see it.

GS stayed in his seat, with the glasses on the right way up for the entire film, a first.
excellent all round film (s)10/10

I managed to get tickets at the last minute...weeeeeeeeeeee!!

I loved it, my boy loved it and my other half and nephew also loved it. It was a huge nostalgia fest, absolutely charming and the voice work was perfect.

I'd have said it was a 1/3 full at a push...which I also found hugely perplexing and frustrating considering I'd failed to get tickets on numerous occasions and spent well over an hour trying to access SFF one day last week. We woke up at 7.30am on the Saturday just in case the snow was to have an impact on bus services. Luckily we were fine and in central Manchester for just after 9am. I presume others just didn't fancy making the effort because of the troublesome weather.
