Just got back from seeing it at a full Bournemouth cinema and 2 bouncers at the door to stop people filming it. The movie was funny but a bit crude in places but overall a feel good film to watch.

Well I turned up at 6.30 with the 8.30 ticket, and guess what? They didn't mind at all. Go right in I was told. Two security types asked us to turn our phones off and stood vigilantly watching the audience to make sure we were behaving ourselves. I was, honest. Plonked myself next to Preston and Mrs Preston, but did not have much time for a chat before the trailers came on - Dinner with the Schmucks, Super-8 (what was that about - I don't know), and Gulliver's Travels starring Jack Black, which showed promise.

As for the film itself - well - far too much profanity when it was not really necessary. The f word has its place but it really was overused. Surely some other words could have been used. It became monotonous.
Also - extremely crude in places - and hilarious at the same time. There were some truly funny scenes, and some wonderful lines, delivered mainly by the supporting actors.

Drew Barrymore and Justin Long gave decent performances but this film is not going to win any awards - except if there's a category for how many times the f word is used. (Someone is going to tell me the film where it is used more often.)

Anyway it was OK, but I'm not rushing out to see it again, nor am I b*ying the DVD.

5/10 from me, and that's because I'm still chilled out from my hols.

Went to see this at the Metrocentre Gateshead and there were bouncers there as well and they stood there watching everyone all the way through the film.
I really enjoyed this film and found myself giggling on the way home as I remembered bits of the film, would definitely recommend 4/5.

No bouncers at Apollo Piccadilly Circus and it got about 90% full! Saw a few FMUKkers, and we had two free seats next to us for the longest time which seemed to be invisible to most until OH waved two dithering girls over. Of course, 1 minute later ejwrank turned up and had to sit at the side! Sorry, wish I'd known you were coming!

The film itself - what andrews said. Too crude and not funny enough. There is a decent story in there somewhere but it never got explored enough, and why do those movie heroes always have to have the weirdest mates? The Hitler moustache joke was in seriously bad taste.

6/10 and that's being generous, and because I had such a shitty day and the film distracted me so it wasn't a total waste of time.

At the earlier showing at Westerhailes tonight about 90% full and people queueing up for the second showing when we came out at 8pm.

Totally agree that the use of the F word in pratically every sentence was uncalled for. Didn't think this was a good rom-com - too crude and too many unfunny scenes for me. Didn't "bond" with the couple. Very disappointing, expected more from it.

Sorry I didn't spot you Beate -- was too busy trying to find a seat as I was running late.

I thought the film was drivel. Couldn't see any special feeling between the two leads and agree that the bad language was totally unnecessary. I didn't expect much but got even less than that. Just wondering if the Aniston rom-com The Switch next week will be even worse -- if such a thing is possible.

I thought you'd seen me, you sat down in the same row! Couldn't go and talk to you as would have had to navigate too many people. Sorry.
