I think so. To be honest, I am more interested in the first prize of a day on the Orient Express.

I'd rather see the film but the private screening is a bit late (18 Jan), given that the film is released on 7 Jan. Even if there are no more previews (though I'm still hoping!), surely all of us who want to see it will have done so by 18 Jan?

Recently saw preview of this movie thanks to fmuk. Thought it was excellent. Performances by Firth and B'ham Carter were great. A bit light touch on historical detail and Royal family of this era - but well worth seeing.

Re: The King’s Speech
I saw this at a packed screening in Edinburgh last night at Ocean Terminal.
This was an absolutely fantastic piece of cinema and I was gripped from start to finish. the performances of the leads were wonderful and I can really see why the film has been gripped by awards talk - certainly not all hype at all.
Even if you have absolutely no interest in the British Royal Family I commend you to go and see this film for the performances.
10/10 from me.

Re: The King’s Speech
I've just heard that today's BBC Radio 4 afternoon play is A King's Speech, which is based on the play about the Coronation Day broadcast, with same key characters of the film. It is a repeat, but cannot remember whether I heard it before. It will probably be on listen again.

Very enjoyable well acted film. Geoffrey Rush was the pick of the bunch I think but good performances all round. 8/10

Re: The King’s Speech
I saw this today at the 02 Greenwich it was shown on screen 2 and was probably about 80% full, used one of my cineworld vouchers, as I couldn't go to the free previews in December.
Thought this was a superb film, it was really well acted and I was gripped from start to finish.
10/10 Throughly enjoyable.

Re: The King’s Speech
Saw this at the Cineworld Northampton yesterday using the voucher in the Sunday Times. Had previously had to cancel a free preview, courtesy of momentum, as the weather was particularly back in December. Yesterday morning wasn't too good with icy patches on the local roads and jack-knifed lorries and cars in ditches. However despite this, managed to see the film and it was well worth the effort. The cinema was virtually full, a few rows at the front were empty but I wouldn't expect anyone wanted to be that close to the screen. Enjoyable film with great performances from Colin Firth, Helena B_C and Geoffrey Rush; am not surprised that it is nominated for an Oscar.
