Re: I am Number Four
I was at cineworld O2 Greenwich and yes it did get very packed. I got there at about 6.05 though so managed to get in. There was the odd seat in places but I would say it was 99% full. There were still noticeable places up until about 6.25 when a heavy stream of people walked in and before I knew it the place was practically full. Unfortunately we were not in the sky super screen, so I can imagine there would have been some disappointed people. Usher was also playing in the arena so the O2 was very busy.
I like the film, pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect but I thought the lead character played his part well - I'd be interested in following what happens to him or any one of the others in a sequel so it can't have been too bad! 8/10, was better than I expected.

Re: I am Number Four
Full house at Cineworld, Edinburgh tonight. Kept us standing in a queue until 6.15pm as the film in screen 6 hadn't finished - which seems to happen often at this venue.
An enjoyable film with plenty of action and looking forward to the sequel. 8/10

Re: I am Number Four
Watched this tonight at Sheffield Cineworld. About 20 minutes in, some kids came and sat down, then got up 3 minutes later and loudly said 'I think we are in the wrong screen, but this film is sh*t anyway' - I would have liked to have chased them out and told them that I don't believe you can tell me what a film is like after watching 3 minutes of it.
These aren't really my type of films, I get very jumpy at times, but in a way it keeps me gripped. I thought it was pretty good, the music worked well, the story line was decent enough, and the effects were brilliant. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10, but..
Half way through the film, I noticed after about 3 minutes that we were just looking at the character's shirts and that the heads have been cut off. The picture had slipped upwards, and the top of the picture slowly started to appear at the bottom. Funny really, as you could see the camera equipment used in the filming. Eventually they shifted the picture back down, but a little too far as you could barely read the subtitles used later on. This spoiled the film somewhat (is this the sort of thing I should complain about?).

Oh, absolutely. I remember this happening at a screening of Dan in Real Life years ago, fortunately they rectified it soon.mattgad wrote:This spoiled the film somewhat (is this the sort of thing I should complain about?).

Re: I am Number Four
Saw this at a packed Cineworld in Edinburgh tonight. Some people were turned away.
Bizarrely we got three trailers - can't remember the last time we had trailers at a preview that was at Cineworld.
I wasn't sure about this one but I really enjoyed it. It was a mix of Twilight meets x-Men but it was intriguing and it drew me in. I thought the charachters were better grounded and founded than Twilight ones and although some of it wasn't explained or was glanced over, they have set it up pretty well for a sequel.
Alex Pettyfer was good - can't believe how much he's grown up since the Stormbreaker film a couple of years ago.
It entertained me - 8/10

I saw this at Odeon in Leicester tonight. It was full, 4 people were turned away. I wasn't expecting much of it, but it turned out to be pretty good. I'd recommend it!

Re: I am Number Four
Saw this at Tunbridge Wells tonight - packed full. Very annoying that film had started and 5 mins later more people come in and not only do they come in late- they want to sit in the few seats left in the corner which meant the whole row had to stand up in front of us whilst they walked down!!
Thought it was a strictly no late admittance policy
Anyway - rant over - film excellent i thought. Took my pal and our 4 kids and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Just wish I had half the powers they did - could get things done so much quicker
Storyline good and i imagine been left open so that another film can be made.

Saw this in Coventry - it was busy but not full. The three rows in front of us were empty. Similar storyline to heroes but enjoyed it more than I though and will look forward to the sequel.
