Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Wow! Now I kind of regret not getting a ticket when I saw the alert before. My reasoning was that it would take me an hour to get there and I would lose most of my day as it's a matinee show (plus I don't have a printer so I would've had to run to the library to print the ticket) but that's an excellent deal.raj101 wrote:those romeo and juliet tickets are rpcied at £62 each!

lol i dunno ballet can be dull even for big prices.
helps if you appreciate it, i guess. Still, £60 lol brilliant.
i wonder how much they would be in normal non-london prices?

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
these guys in the ballet squad are in their dream jobs, you'd think they'd be happy to accept lower prices/p*y to lower the ticket prices seeing as they are doing exactly what they want. But the theatre does the opposite and inflates the prices, the nasty fmukers! I guess its all down to market forces, there must be people in london who can afford this... but I dont know any of them.bevvy wrote:£65 is for the cheaper seats. My daughter and her two friends went last night and they said it was fantastic! My daughter is quite critical and if it was not good then she would most certainly have said so but she had nothing but praise for the performance and said that some parts were a little scary too. Apparently there were very impressive acrobatics.TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:So who went to the Batman Live show in Manchester, last night? I know Diane has. Anyone else? Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
You would be surprised at the pitiful p*y that actors and ballet dancers get. You would think being in the West End or at the Royal Opera House you'd be on good money. Sadly not. the minimum WEEKLY rate for a ballet dancer performing regulary is £400. The minimum for an Actor in the West End is £550 a week. So yes, they are totally doing what they want, but not getting pa*d well. I guess ticket prices are down to inflation, rent, rates or whatever the theatre has to p*y the council.
