Going the Distance
Re: Going the distance
Thought it was on the crude side but found myself laughing most of the way through. Not a film to be taken seriously. summer entertainment.

They are rescheduling the 23rd screening because the release date's been moved back?Thats abit lame considering they started showing the previews already

Re: Going the distance
I was very disappointed with this film, just one or two funny lines and very predictable. I gave it 2/10

Nothing, Repeat NOTHING has ever been copied from FRIENDS, given that everything in that show was stolen to begin with.naly wrote:Uh...they copied a self tanning scene from FRIENDS!!!

Nah, gave it a miss, but I had to take up the opportunity to put down FRIENDS.
Only show of which I've seen every episode that I truly despise.

Re: Going the distance
I saw this last night at Greenwich, it was only about half full and there were 2 bouncers asking us not to take photos etc, they also wandered round when the film was on to make sure no one had their cameras out!! I enjoyed the film, it was a nice way to switch off for 90 minutes and relax, but it wasn’t as good as I expected. I thought there were a couple of scenes that stole the film (mainly the dining room table scene), but I thought the film dragged a bit and I was surprised at the lack of chemistry sometimes between the main 2 considering they dated in real life (although I’m not sure if they were still dating when it was filmed).
Yes I thought the self tan scene was the same as the one from Friends.
7/10.

Re: Going the distance
My excuse: I was a kid with nothing to do when I discovered my parents' VHS collection.
Now any time someone around me's watching it, it sets off every critical bone in my body.
Back on topic, the weird thing about this film is the stars rose to fame in respectively the best and worst sitcoms ever, imo.
