How fab was that last night. The staging was brilliant if anyone is a comic book fan you are in for a brilliant night, how they projected the comic book on the screen it was beautifully merged with the stage show and you couldn't tell which was real and what was an illusion. The circus was a show in itself then the Batmobile was awesome I was mesmorised watching the children in the audience in their Batman outfits totally engrossed in the spectacle of it all. Gotham City was brilliant. I don't want to give too much away as it will spoil it for you.

We all had a brilliant night last night and it was a good job a printed out name change slips for us all as you did need ID and thanks so much to TheyCallMeMrGlass, raj101, Funthing29 and Ibaax you made a lot of us very happy.

TheyCallMeMrGlass I trust that you will be wearing a Batman suit and your friend goes as Robin/Catwoman you will so love it. o/

Sadly not. the minimum WEEKLY rate for a ballet dancer performing regulary is £400. The minimum for an Actor in the West End is £550 a week. So yes, they are totally doing what they want, but not getting pa*d well. I guess ticket prices are down to inflation, rent, rates or whatever the theatre has to p*y the council.
thats actually pretty good p*y if you ask me but yeah i should have been pointing at the corporations who run it, I mean they are the targets who are overcharging us. the profit from lots of £150 ticket each night arent necessitated by the rent - someone is raking it in somewhere, you must agree. If london wasnt cost feasible to them they would move out of its centrality. Someone is taking the piss somewhere.

I am actually in a pretty shitty mood today hence my moody comments, cos my dad dropped out of a preplanned £80 worth of free stuff that I'd planned in advance for him and it got my goat no end, and then I could have had tickets to the ballet and gone to a jazz concert tonight if he had told me beforehand that he was going to drop out, so I am sorry if I sound bitter, its becos I am today lol. My bloody relatives are always doing this to me,I dont know why I put them first so often, i really dont. am taking action to rectify the situation of my mood, some good tv is needed. :cross:

Saw Park Avenue Cat tonight at the Arts Theatre, thanks to cliveas. Funny (not belly laughs, but giggles funny), short and sweet. Granted one scene change was a bit slow, but otherwise the sets were well done, considering such a small stage. Had great seats too!

My family thoroughly enjoyed Batman Live at the MEN Arena tonight (Sat) despite the 3 technical glitches. We also met Batman, Robin & The Riddler after the show---great guys!
Great stage show, acrobatics, comic film on the bat-shaped screen. Clear vocals/audio. Awesome special effects. Only thing is it's pretty stuffy in the arena with all the lighting and food and drinks are expensive. Not permitted to take food or drinks into the arena--- bag check. Pricey Souvenir t-shirts, shopping bag, lunch bag, mugs, keyring, badges, & Batman mask available to p*rchase.
Permitted to take photos & video as long as don't use flash.

I am wondering how was Romeo and Juliet too? I am going to the south coast later, but was thinking of delaying it if R & J is really good! So did anyone go last night?

I'm checking trains to London now!!! It should be brilliant! They are ballet superstars - Ivan Vasiliev and Natalia Osipova. Very very famous all over the world (if anyone is into ballet at least a little bit)!!!
It would be nice to hear from someone who's been yesterday...

I just checked for today's ballet and they are extremely far from being sold out (at least 30% seats left and lots of very good seats)... meaning people going there with SFF may even get the most expensive seats in the house!!!!
What do I do!!!! Dilemma!

Well I really enjoyed lullaby last night at the Barbican. It's going to be one of those marmite shows, you either love it or hate it. I've seen quite a few 1 star reviews for this and the one thing in common is all those reviewers had a bad night's sleep and had heavy snorers in the auditorium. Yes whether you like this show is dependant on other people in the audience!
It's always going to be tricky doing a show with the expressed aim of putting you to sleep. Shows get great reviews by inspiring people, stimulating people, not putting them to sleep.
However I strangely like this show, the "plot" is nonexistent, the artwork isn't great, but it's all about moods and feelings. Whether you like the show depends on whether you get the mood. It's all about childhood reminisces, dreams, going back to the time when your parents would read you a bedtime story. It was so relaxing and soothing, I had a lovely sleep  8.5/10
PS remember to bring your pyjamas!
