It was amazing and how fabulous was from the opening scene with the beautiful Christmas tree until the end, just gutted that we now have to wait until the autumn for the next series. I would love to visit Highclere Castle in the summer to get my Downton fix.
I also watched Darcey Bussell Dances Hollywood which got me in the mood for Singing in the Rain this morning. There appears to be a lot of chocolate wrappers in the bin today - I can't imagine who has eaten them all.

I actually really enjoyed Doctor Who and I'm not really a fan of the series but this episode felt Christmasy, Smith was funny and I like the "Narnia" set up. I also enjoyed Absolutely Fabulous too, another show I dont normally watch but I was laughing all the way, love Lumley's vacant lost expressions and Saunder's selfish but hilarious demeanour, they are both such class acts. Jane Horrocks was very irritating though. There was a big slap that was definitely harder than it should have been as the poor girl's glasses flew off and she looked positively stunned for real, while the daughter very clearly covered her face to hide her own shock and guilt, made it more funnier.

I watched an episode of Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds from a huge boxset I got for Christmas. I absolutely loved it. The technological ideas are wonderfully whimsical as they were in the 60s and the effects are dated but the writing is pretty impressive. I can't wait for the return of The Hood. Brilliant stuff.

It'll be Allright on the Night, I'm a sucker for that type of show. the best one was Fanny Chmeler

After that I watched part 2 of Great Expectations. This is a great adaptation, I love that they've made Miss Haversham a newly jilted woman, and Gillian Anderson is playing the part fantastically well. I don't like Pip at all, don't like his face or his manner. I can't remember the story, but he seems to be a frightful little shit

preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Wild Strawberries, Stanley Kubrick's The Killing, Bugsy Malone, Total Recall and Trainspotting, along with an episode of Thunderbirds plus some Red Dwarf special features from 7.00am this morning. I feel like my head is about to explode.

I watched Thor and Submarine as some people have suggested they are some of the finest movies of 2011

Not a big fan of Thor (especially the first half hour) but I adored Submarine!
