Completely far-fetched nonsense - and utterly enjoyable. Quite funny too, and the fight scenes were thrilling. I wanted to shout along! A bit too Hollywood at the end though, "the people's champion" bit was a bit OTT.

WIQ are going to hear from me though about their idiotic decision of not telling people the screen number but asking them to wait in the bar instead until an announcement would be made - only for a lot of people sneaking down and finding out the screen number anyway. Cost us our favourite seats! And I had to get up and tell them to switch the light off once the film had started too.

8/10

I enjoyed this more than I expected. How did the lad's mum die? Whats wrong with his left nostril? Thought the lad was ok (apart ffrom his left nostril), and Hugh and Evangeline we're both good and looked great(their nostrils were fine). Couldn't believe I was flinching when the "bots" took a hit. A few thing's were left unexplained, but apart from that, good stuff!! 7.5/10

Not really a film aimed at me but the crowd at Shaftesbury Ave seemed to enjoy it. To my mind it was quite forgettable.

I asked the staff why there was so much noise in our cinema coming from the screen next door only to be told that Bollywood movies have their volume pitched at a very high setting which the cinema cannot lower. What is the matter with these cinemas--is everything run on auto pilot? It meant that whenever the door to the next cinema was opened (and this was quite often) those of us sitting near the door could hear another film. The staff member agreed that it was ridiculous and lots of other people have mentioned it. I feel a letter of complaint coming on.

I went to watch this with the missus, fully expecting abuse afterwards and I was happily surprised at a response of "It was ok, I liked it.". Personally I was a fan, yes it is a robot boxing film and yes my missus definitely found the film watchable with Mr Jackman in it but the story was much better than I anticipated.
The kid in the film was very good, not too smaltzy just right. Anything with Kate from Lost gets a resounding thumbs up from me and Hugh was decent enough.
All in all, good effort folks enjoyable, not too taxing and a good bit of fun. Too top it all off it was free, what more do you want. Would give it a strong 7/10.
