What a brilliant, brilliant movie!! Loved it from start to finish. As a once hardcore gamer, I loved the video-game references littered throughout the movie (though I wish there could've been more). I was also quite surprised to find the inclusion of Kano's fatality in the Bad Guy Anonymous meeting. That was weird...but beautiful.

As for the production values, everyone's in top form here. The vocal talents are perfect, the animation stunning beyond words and the writing/direction flawless all round. Truly a monumental achievement.

Miss this at your peril.

MGS is my favourite game of all time so try to imagine the level of my own excitement upon hearing that "alert" sound-byte!

I did see it again, and have to say I must have been half asleep, I missed even more than I originally thought on the previous 2 screenings!

It really is a treasure trove of retro gaming and an excellent film too. Hoping for a sequel.

Silverman is an adult, right? She has the weirdest voice ever, puts Marge Simpson in the shade.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

She certainly is, born in 1970 but that isn't her real voice from what I remember from seeing her in interviews.

Actually it's not that far-off from the real thing.

Not quite as girly from what I recall of her interview on Graham Norton's show although to be fair, Wahlberg interrupted her so much we barely got chance to hear her!

I thought it was adorable (loved the references to the games of my childhood!) I've attached my review (with some bubblegum marshmallows) http://wp.me/p2xEEX-FF
