Good advice, will do. Just been looking it up on the net. It seams I have suddenly caught "sweat rash"...what an appropriate name for once! Off to the chemist I shall go then and get me some treatment cream.aruif wrote:sounds like maybe you have an allergy. you might need to pop along to a chemist asap to see what they suggest and if they can't help then off to the doctors with you! you don't want it getting any worse!

Re: Weight Watchers
I would speak to the pharmacist before you start self treating as a bacterial, fungal, yeast infection or an allergy can all look quite similar and you can make matters worse by using the wrong treatment eg steroid creams (hydrocortisone etc) can reduce inflammation but prevent you from fighting bacterial or fungal infections. The internet for self diagnosis is sometimes a dangerous thing.TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:Good advice, will do. Just been looking it up on the net. Re: Weight Watchers
I did just that Diane. The pharmacist expressed a concern that I may have a fungal infection and asked me lots of questions. The key question was if i felt itchy. I dont, its just the areas are sore...not itchy, so she said ok, then it could be either sweat or heat rash and gave me a cream that treats those areas. I b*ght the cream but I think I will play it safe and go to my GP on Monday anyway.Diane65 wrote:I would speak to the pharmacist before you start self treating as a bacterial, fungal, yeast infection or an allergy can all look quite similar and you can make matters worse by using the wrong treatment eg steroid creams (hydrocortisone etc) can reduce inflammation but prevent you from fighting bacterial or fungal infections. Thanks for all your wise advice, as usual.
While I deal my irritable issue, its the weekend and might be a reward day for some of you...if you were being good and ate well or made improvements on your diet. If you havent...then no reward

I take it that means no reward for me as I did go over the top last weekend. I'm back on track now and trying to be good.

Re: Weight Watchers
i've not had the best eating days the last few days. yesterday i didn't do too badly, bbq burger/sausage/bit of chicken lots of salad. no bread. but i did have 2 mini milks with the kids. but then i had a massive chocolate craving and ended up eating a whole bar of orange aero. EEEK
today has been an appalling write off, no breakfast, milkshake, mini pork pie and ice cream! - i promise that my dinner is healthy though! it's fishcake with vegetables.

Ooooo sounds like a different take on zumba, i'll look out for it up here.TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:Ooo this might be a good deal for some of you Londoners. Heard you all talking about this new type of fitness dance, was it you HAV? Or Val?

Aruif, yours looks mixed with lots of healthy bits, mini milks surely can't be all bad. You could pass the aero off as a treat day indulgence??
My whole week has been very unhealthy. i've had lots of bread rolls, two chinese takeaways then my sister got me a treat bag as i was babysitting last night full of chocolate orange, doritos, dips, tux cheese sandwiches, tea cakes.
Part of the reason i wasn't motivated was i didn't plan my meals and hadn't been shopping.
Have been shopping today and got lots of healthy food (following your diet Glassy) so this week should be better
Do you find it easier to eat healthy when you have planned out your meals Aruif??

Re: Weight Watchers
i never plan my meals out. i actually can't do that i hate it if i do that i'm much more likely to eat crap and throw out good food if it's not what i fancy!
i find it easier to eat healthily if i just don't b*y crap in the first place. i'm usually ok. but haven't been great at it this year to be honest. more crap than anything else especially as it's so cheap in comparison. chicken is especially expensive and that's the meat i really like. i don't like fish so i end up eating pasta with sauce or ready meal with no veg no meat, because it's cheaper! or nothing and just picking at crap. it's really bad. i'm desperatley trying to break the habbit.
i think i manged 4 or 5 out of 7 days with breakfast this past week. an improvement but not my goal. will try again this week.

Re: Weight Watchers
We'll have to swap cheap quick healthy recipes, its amazing what you can cook on very little money.
Chicken kebabs are really quick and easy, I load up the skewers with peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms marinaded in chilli and soy sauce so you use very little meat and with a wholemeal pitta bread its really filling.
Make up a picnic and take it to the local park or even your own garden then food becomes a pleasure.
I'm always motivated and eat healthy meals but then always say yes when I'm offered cakes etc, I need to learn the NO word
Havingascreen that treat bag sounds wonderful.
