lool. That was probably the best value concert we've had at the o2. An almost reasonable price (£27.00 for ground floor tickets) for a band that were a damn good mimick of the real thing, narrow your eyes and they were PF.thedude wrote:If I were a smoker, I'd have had a joint by the time they got to Comfortably Numb..raj101 wrote:but it still sounds pretty epic with the light show.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
It wasn't free but I took advantage of some £10 tickets from lastminute.com to see Lend Me A Tenor in London last night.
My goodness, what a show, it was brilliant. It is a musical comedy and it does the comedy really well. Some parts really had me laughing and I had 5th row in the stalls which were excellent seats. I was surprised to see Matthew Kelly in it but he was good and so was everyone else. Singing was great. This definitely was not what I expected so I probably enjoyed it even more. I definitely recommend it!

I can vouch for this show, too, having had a Time Out £10 deal some weeks back. It's closing soon, too, so get in now!

Courtesy of this site I saw Matthew Kelly last year in 'Waiting for Godot' and was impressed by him.
Preferred cinemas:
Central London and North London as far north as the Hampstead Everyman including Picturehouse Hackney/Notting Hill Gate - but not Wood Green and North Finchley as they are just a bit too far.

I really enjoyed Lend Me A Tenor and was really shocked when I heard it was finishing early. Such a shame.

Got tickets to the Proms, RRP £72 for £1! One of the board members at my new job owns a box there, so this is a staff perk. You enter a ballot and if they pick your name out of the hat, you're going!
I've never been to the Proms before. Quite exciting!

The boxes are fabulous. I have a friend who knows people in high places and sometimes she takes me to one of the smaller boxes - 5 seater - and it is even more amazing than the proms are anyway (you can even take drinks and food ...)
What prom are you going to?
Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I saw it in June too, courtesy of an Evening Standard competition. It was thorougly enjoyable, great musical numbers and very funny in parts. Shame is closing so early! Apparently they have not been able to increase ticket sales despite all the good reviews.funthing29 wrote:It wasn't free but I took advantage of some £10 tickets from lastminute.com to see Lend Me A Tenor in London last night.
