I think the next batch of X-Men films are origins stories rather than a continuation of this story.

I believe the next one planned is Deadpool and Wolverine 2 is in development limbo.

Wolverine is meant to be released in 2012
(storyline: Wolverine in Japan... taking up from the allegedly alternative extra post-credits -the official post credits showing Deadpool still alive-)

I read about Deadpool and Wolverine ages ago, didn't realise this was more than a rumour! Do you know if Deadpool will focus on the nice character we saw early on in Wolverine 1 or the changed one from the end of the movie? I hope the first!

I'd personally really love to see more from young Magneto, Xavier and see the First Class develop. They were all really great and there was much more to explore there I think.

Deadpool is due for release in 2014. That's quite a way off so it's obviously been delayed in development or perhaps they had to wait til Ryan Reynolds was available.

The Wolverine sequel is scheduled for release next year. I remember reading this project had problems but looks like it is going ahead.

Security at Marble Arch was fairly straightforward tonight, no ID/Amex checks, and simply declaring I don't have a phone was enough, no body search thankfully. It was packed and so many f***ing latecomers kept streaming in stumbling around looking for a seat, couldn't really enjoy the first 10-15 minutes. Why is it so hard to turn up before the film starts? And why don't they shut the door when it's full!?

Then at the end everybody pushed and shoved to get out to get their phones, really pointless exercise, as someone already mentioned. I stayed until the credits had finished hoping for an extra scene, but there was none. Feel sorry for everyone turned away at other cinemas, hopefully you'll get another chance to see it free. I definitely need to see it again!

I liked the film a lot, Matthew Vaughn has done a great job, and if this is the first part of a new trilogy, then can't wait for the next one! 8/10

Glad those that saw seemed to enjoy it, feared it'd end up not living up to expectations.
And those that couldn't get in, well, today's a good day to indulge in a bit of Fassbender magic.

Luckily, my bf did have an amex card so we managed to get in, despite the name on the ticket being different. The lady who was checking the card and the ticket noticed it, but decided not to make a fuss out of it. :D
I'm sorry to hear that many people didn't get in.

As for the film, my bf and I really enjoyed it. I especially liked Magneto. The weird German accents at the start were annoying me, though.

Well what can i say after having one of those days where nothing goes to plan i feared the worst, when i arrived at the cinema i met yinster and Lisa (always nice to see you ladies) who informed us of the two queue's they let card holders in first tbh there were not that many and we all got in after that Pheeew!! the cinema was full by the start of the film, we handed over our phones and got seated what a great movie the boys (my son and nephew) both loved it from start to finish i realy enjoyed the fact that this had a real storyline kinda get a little fed up with these big blockbuster type films which are all effect with no real consistency so all in all an astounding 9/10 from me and the boys ;)

Really really liked this! Was gutted when I turned up at Covent Garden at 6pm and saw they were doing AMEX cards checks. Luckily I ran into funthing29 and she allowed me to be her +1!

On to the movie, thought it was a very credible addition to the X-Men series. Really enjoyed seeing how Charles and Eric had met and how their story developed. I agree with someone above who said that there was too much concentration on Kevin Bacon's character and not enough on the Charles and Eric story though. But I really hope that this is the start of another trilogy, bring it on!

9/10

P.S. James McAvoy has SUCH pretty eyes!
