Lots of laughs some even out loud in this.

Target audience 16-40, think some outside that bracket may not get the humour.
I think that most of us appreciate what we are getting here and just because we might be critical doesn't have anything to do with p*ying or not. I also think that we oldies might 'get the humour' just not find it very funny. Yes, I am ancient and obviously humourless!

It's not a question of age, weirdfilms didn't like it either. Everyone has different senses of humour and is perfectly entitled to their opinion if they didn't like it, as with all films we discuss on this board, whether they've been pa*d for or not that doesn't make a difference.

What do you mean by "if there are free screenings there is a reason"? Do you mean it indicates poor quality or expected poor audience figures? I'm a little confused :)

Generally if a film is really, really bad there are no previews (or even press screenings sometimes). SFF previews are for films that hope for a bit of word-of-mouth publicity. Sky seems to get some blockbusters that wouldn't normally get previews like Harry Potter etc

Haha no, I meant, the studios / distributors etc etc can afford it. They have test screenings, and free screenings, and competitions, and all this stuff, and yes it's important to p*y when you want to see a film, as well as when you want to see a concert, but keep in mind that there's a very small pourcentage of the ticket price going to the film's crew.

Not an excuse, it's true, but then.... I go back to the 'if there are free screenings, there is a reason': they can and need to afford it (also, crew apart, projecting a film costs a lot too in terms of electricity and employees.)

Despite my deep-rooted anti-Tatum bias I absolutely loved this. Stupid in all the right ways,

102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

one of those jokes that just isnt funny as you get older is the 'dumb chinese girl' one. I remember seeing that joke in Streetdance, and these little teen girls all laughed at it but I instantly spotted that its a bullshit joke because chinese girls on average seem a lot brighter than the teens who were laughing at the joke. Yeah, i get the joke, but the joke was based on a falsity that stems from racial bigotry, which is yawnifying once you've heard it and laughed at it a few times.

the same day I saw the same kind of joke in Scott Pilgrim, which just goes to show its now very very tedious (though Scott Pilgrim tried to deliver it interestingly - it worked better here because the film took pains to show us that Scott Pilgrim was a serious twit of a boyfriend - and I think that movie might have ede dbetter if he hadnt won the girl in the end).
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

I watched this again the other day (and was able to see a lot of the spoilered bits that I may have missed the first time - especially having no prior knowledge of the original series). I definitely enjoyed it both times but - and perhaps it was due to the rest of the audience or the mood I was in - but whilst I could see what was meant to be funny I just didn't really laugh out loud. Maybe it was because I was trying too hard to take it seriously as a crime show movie and not a stand alone comedy which it really was.
I'm glad I'm in good company with Weirdy at least - even if not with Claudia Wrinklewoman off Film 12.

Don't make me watch it a third time! Lol.
