can't really see this working for the non-already_RoA_fans...
7/10

edit: I slept on it and I'm not under Tom Cruise's spell anymore, so I'll have adjust my score to a lower 6/10 :shifty:

I had a great night at the premiere, Beate you certainly had a great view of Tom Cruise where you were, maybe those seats weren't so bad afterall!! I really liked the film again, not quite so funny second time around though.

I just had an interesting journey home with Nathan James who was chatting to none other than Twinnie Lee Moore about the film when we got on at the same stop, had a great chat about the film and the show all the way back out to the sticks, here's hoping it drums up some business for the show and people are not too concerned how different they are.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Is it a disappointment if you have seen the Theatre production ??

SFF sent me a couple of emails on the lines of let the party start - did that mean just the film or a knees up?? (VUE 11/6)

I'm probably going via the Times 12/6

I was surprised too, I would have thought people at the premiere would find it really funny, but the reaction was quite muted by the end. Adam Shankman is turning into a budget version of Rob Marshall. My friend mentioned it was more like a collection of music videos rather than any coherent storyline. 5.5/10

It's very different to the stage show, it's been a bit glee-ified if that makes sense, if you like the show and the music in general you will probably like it.

British comedian Brand lost his temper with revellers in the crowd who heckled him, shouting that he looked like "Jesus" and "a homeless person".

Brand retorted: "I'd like to play Jesus, and wasn't he homeless for a while too?"

The former drug addict admitted his role as a booze-swilling, hard-partying rocker in the film had reminded him of his past. Brand said: "When I was lying on the toilet floor I thought, 'Hello, here we are again... on my own'."

This was really great and the experience was one I'll never forget. My favorite song was the 'We built this city' and 'We're not gonna take it' mash-up! We had a great view from the second row and i managed to get some great photos of the cast- http://www.flickr.com/photos/79791672@N03/page2/

My review will follow soon and thanks to Celini for posting the screenthing competition that i won o/
