Admittedly they could have hired an Indian actor to play him but Max Minghella isn't remotely Mexican. He's of English, Italian, Chinese and Scottish descent (His dad was Anthony Minghella).

I saw this film as my first freebie, even though i have put others onto freebies before now. Nice for a freebie, even a good film but I think a strange subject for a film considering this story is so new and there is so much more to come.

This has got to be one of the most inspirational films that has a carefully crafted dialogue and the characters are complex with many layers.

A brilliant film! o/

Sadly I missed the previews. Wasn't going to bother, but after all the hype it got I gave in and pa*d to go and see it (sorry Beate...). I thought it was a highly impressive piece of cinema, really well acted by Jesse Eisenburg; every minute expression, every flicker of his eyelid is representative of his speculative character (along with his somewhat effortlessly brilliant musings). A well-directed and thought-provoking drama from the master David Fincher.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

I'm pretty confident it's in my top ten of all time. It's not only the best film of the year, but it's also incredibly important culturally.

Even if you don't think you'll like it, you HAVE to see it.
It's being tipped for an Oscar in the US press.

I would guess Best Picture, almost certainly, unless some other war movie directed by a woman comes out.

What about Best Screenplay?? Aaron Sorkin wrote a great script, but what about Inception? Will the Academy continue to ignore the non-technical side of Christopher Nolan's films?
