I started at my local/charity gym back in January; it's a lovely gym, ran by the council with really cool instructors!
Junior, the instructor who got me back in (almost) shape last time, recognised me this morning and was so adorable; he was pushing me to come more regularly and insisting that I should join a new programme if I wanted to! (it's all free ;) )

I may rejoin as when I left I was just starting free weights and I really liked it!!!

Now how can you resist someone like Junior ;) Go on, make him happy and let him give you a program! Sounds like a great gym. My council gyms are also great, (a local borough network of gyms called Fusion) with plenty of enthusiastic instructors. Even though I am qualified now, I still use them now and again for their experienced knowledge and ideas. Latest tech equipment and a plethora of fitness classes. That's another thinng to take advantage of ;)

I completely forgot that you Southerners won't have a Bettys Tea Room as they are all in Yorkshire, this is what you are missing http://www.bettys.co.uk/bettys_harrogate.aspx
It probably will be a bit warm for my coat but lovely for evening strolls and I would love any tips on Barcelona as I've never been before. Sorry on the wrong thread but healthy meal choices in Spain will be good.

Hope your leg soon feels better Valda, please get it checked out and rest it as much as you can and take care.
Wish we had Betty's Tea Room all over London instead of bloody Starbucks :(

Hope you leg feels better too Val.

Cool...everybodys moving and groovin.

Loved the hula hooping videos Glassy and will definately try them out. I got scales today so my wieght stands at 86kg. My ideal is between 56 and 76.5. Think i'll start by trying to get down to 76kg.

I used this http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/5aday.aspx to plan out meals for the week.

I'll attempt this exercise plan:-

Monday morning - 10 minute hula hoop workout
Lunchtime - power walk around park for 20 minutes
evening - 10 minute hula hoop workout followed by 10 minute cardio workout

Same rest of week except on Wednesday evening will play badminton for 1 hour.

night off Saturday, will go swimming during the day. Sun-day off and will do hula hooping and cardio at night.

Will this be enough do you think?

umm i need to work out a hell of a lot of things to do this week!

gym and shopping on Tuesday before the cinema is all i've planned for but I'll be VERY busy next week so I'm sure I won't get much time to sit down and not do much!

Trying to keep this thread alive.
I've kept to the healthy eating for 2 weeks and kept my treats to just once a week. In this months Asda magazine there is a lovely recipe for a vegetable chilli with celery, carrots, peppers, sweetcorn and black eyed peas which I'm going to try today - it sounds like the one havingascreen makes rather than the one I usually make with butternut squash and turnips.
Tomorrow I'm having steak, spinach (lots of) and tomatoes its so filling you don't need carbs with it, (I'm not suggesting excluding carbs just you don't need it with this meal).

Just met my neighbour who is 63, she looks amazing and her arms are so toned, I cannot believe how fab she looks so ask her what she had been doing and its the Tracey Anderson DVD. She always looks lovely but the transformation in 2 months is unbelievable and she has kindly offered to b*y me one as I've been looking after her house while she was on holiday (she's so kind and always buys me flowers etc for doing it - she insists) as soon as it arrives I'm ready to transform my curves from convex to concave (curves sound better than lumps).

Hows everyone else getting on? 10 weeks to Christmas and we will be wanting to squeeze (not get stuck in them obviously not speaking from experience but nearly dislocating your shoulders trying them on is not a good look) into those party dresses that's you included MrGlass! ;)
