Re: FOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!
I have made a chili con carne for dinner tonight (and the forseeable future - there is a LOT of it). Started out looking like a disaster but pleasantly surprised myself, as I just winged it. Am beginning to understand why my mum enjoys cooking, and indeed teaching it. Am still miles from being like my mum but one step at a time....

Re: FOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!
I do a mean roast type dinner but it will never be up to my dads' standard and he said that his mums' was better than his. It's the enjoyment of cooking that shows in the meal.anakin wrote:I have made a chili con carne for dinner tonight (and the forseeable future - there is a LOT of it). Re: FOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!
I moaned to my hubby and he made a special trip to me at lunch-time just to bring me some...............
Everyone was out of the office today except me so I have left a non-too-polite post-it note on the fridge door. I am off for two days now so it will be interesting to see if there is any put back in the fridge by Friday!
(If not............... as I always pick it up I will withhold milk and biscuit purchases for their coffees - this won't affect me because I don't drink it or eat them!)

So... no one?Octopus wrote:Does anyone know where to have a nice brunch around Greenwich?... I haven't done this for years!
A friend of mine wanted to do it and I'm trying to find a nice place around Greenwich / Island Gardens.
Btw, I'm doing a popatoes / salmon / bleu cheese / lettuce / tomatoes salad. Friggin' good.
