The Globe Players, taking professional theatre to schools all over London and the Home Counties, presents a FREE public performance to mark the reopening of the famous Hoxton Hall
DESPERATE GLORY - The First World War Show
YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU!
Or at least, we do – to join us in our MAGNIFICENT MUSIC HALL for that EXTRAVAGANZA of shocks, shivers and shrapnel known as THE GREAT WAR!
Much of this show came from the pens of the soldiers at the front. Hear the songs that encouraged them to go and do their bit, and eavesdrop on the thoughts (often the last recorded thoughts) of those whom history condemned to die.
DESPERATE GLORY is extremely moving, richly entertaining, and, above all, thought-provoking.
8.00 on Friday 6th March at the Hoxton Hall, 130 Hoxton Street, London N1 6SH. Within 10 min walk - Old Street station (Northern Line); Hoxton (Overground); and many bus routes.
For tickets, phone or text 07869 570 142, state number of seats required and give name plus telephone number or email address for reference.
AT THE END OF THE PERFORMANCE THERE WILL BE A COLLECTION FOR HOXTON HALL

Lucky Eric, Judd, Les and Ralph are the original men in black as they tell the tale of one night in a Yorkshire disco in the 80's in this outrageous parody of Saturday Night Fever!

All the gang are out on the town, the boys, the girls, the cheesy DJ, the late night kebab man and the taxi home, all under the watchful eyes of the Bouncers.

We have a few tickets to see Son Of Dave TONIGHT at 7.30pm at Fairfield Halls.

About the show

This big Stand! Special marks the launch and countdown to Ambition Festival, Croydon's big weekend multi venue music and arts festival on the 23 - 26 July.

Headlining the party is Son of Dave. This one-man Bluesman of Canadian origin is unique in every way: his style, his showmanship, and his musicianship. It takes some kind of genius to get tunes made with harmonica, beatbox, percussion and a loop station onto the soundtrack of Breaking Bad or Later With Jools Holland; Son of Dave has been there and done that (both!).

We have just a few tickets to this play at The Duke of York's Theatre this Thursday at 2.30pm.

About the show
Following a sold-out run at the Royal Court Theatre, Jennifer Haley’s critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning play transfers to London’s Duke of York’s Theatre for a limited run.
The Nether offers complete freedom – a new virtual wonderland providing total sensory immersion. Just log in, choose an identity and indulge your every desire.
An intricate crime drama and a haunting thriller set in the year 2050, The Nether follows an investigation into the complicated, disturbing morality of identity in the digital world, and explores the consequences of making dreams a reality.
This ‘exhilaratingly daring’ (Financial Times) production is directed by Headlong Artistic Director Jeremy Herrin (Wolf Hall / Bring Up The Bodies, This House) and brought to the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions, Headlong and the Royal Court. In recent years, these producers have presented some of the UK’s best new plays in the West End including hit productions Jerusalem, Chimerica, 1984, Posh, Constellations and ENRON.
