I went to Glasgow to see Drive (and missed out on Whats Your Number). I'm not sure that I made the right choice! I found the film very slow at the start although I do think this was a feature of the whole film. I'd read other reviews so was prepared (I thought!) for the violence .... I'm not convinced that the graphic presentation was necessary, however. I did not feel anything for the characters involved. I suspect this was due to the script writers rather than the acting. I'm glad I've seen it but would not rave about it. I actually enjoyed the music though it did seem inappropriate at times. The film certainly was not the usual American action film which I think I would have preferred.
Cinema was packed. I didn't see any T-shirts (Sorry, Beate!).
Had the usual problem of person in front using mobile phone 15 minutes into the film (apparently, as I found out later, to contact friend whom she had kept a seat for!). I did ask her politely once to switch off. 2nd time I was not so polite!!!!
I'd give film 7/10.
