Inception's script is mediocre. TSN's a shoe-in for Best Adapted Screenplay.

No it's not! Inception may not be as sharp as TSN, but its central idea is surely a step above other Hollywood blockbusters... it is a clever film.

Aye, I'll give you that. But I don't think exposition that heavy should go near awards...

I'll agree with you on that front - TSN was definitely a better-written film and deserves the Oscar for sure. I just wish Christopher Nolan's storytelling side would be noticed more... but then again, Stanley Kubrick was ignored in his entire career

Liked this film a lot, but agree with the sentiments of others re: it's an unfinished story as there's all the privacy issues etc. ongoing. I wonder if Zuckerberg even cares if this was an accurate portrayal!

Do they want money from the profits of the film too lol? Finally saw this film too and you do wonder what aspects are true and what are exaggerated for the film? When I have some time, I have to read up on some of the technical brilliance of the film in this thread, as I thought the strong selling point is the interesting story. I sometimes rather director's just tell a story rather than being so bogged down in technical mastery. First and foremost in any film most be the story it has to tell and here we are certainly onto a winner. 7.5/10

Well I just saw a free screening of this in Nottingham and thought it was absolutely superb. The writing was so sharp and snappy and it had me mesmerized throughout. Certainly had Aaron Sorkin's touch all over it. Even though I'd heard so much about it I still found the story really interesting and the characters were really brought to life. I'd be very happy to see it win Best Picture. Tempted to give it 10/10.

It was a BAFTA showing with Orange Wednesday deal. Daughter booked an Orange Wednesday some weeks back and then got a code which could be used for Social Network in Nottingham (and lots of other Cineworld and Apollo cinemas).

So it was actually down to his sister and mother that David got the tickets for this!
