She gets an apartment that's above a coffee house where she befriends one of the workers, Aram, a guy whose wife only married him so she could get a green card. Aram's family thinks he's wasting his life and education by working in the coffee house. Soon after moving into the apartment, Sandy hires Aram to be her nanny while she takes on work for the first time since her children where born. It isn't long when Aram and Sandy find they get along wonderfully and start to date. But the question is: is their relationship real or is it, in fact, just a rebound for both of them?

THE KARATE KID

Starring Jaden Smith & Jackie Chan

THIS SUNDAY, 27TH JUNE AT ODEON CINEMAS:
Dunfermline, Epsom, Chelmsford, Bracknell, Guildford, Kilmarnock, Mansfield, Nuneaton, Rochdale, Tunbridge Wells, Warrington and Wrexham!
About the Film:
In Columbia Pictures' The Karate Kid, 12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) could have been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's (Taraji P. Henson) career takes them both to China. Dre has a hard time making friends at first but he does make a connection with his classmate Mei Ying - and the feeling is mutual - until cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre makes an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. Dre knows only a little karate, and in the land of kung fu, Cheng puts "the karate kid" on the floor with ease. Feeling alone in a foreign land, Dre has no friends to turn to except the maintenance man, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan). Secretly a master of kung fu, Mr. Han and Dre begin to train together, building a friendship and moving toward a final showdown with Cheng at a kung fu tournament. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre learns that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.

THE KARATE KID opens across the UK on 28th July, 2010.

I just got yet another blank email from Seefilmfirst (sent 13 July at 05.00) with the subject heading:

THE REBOUND--IMPORTANT INFORMATION

I booked to see this on 19 July at The Empire Leicester Square (yes I am one of the few people who hasn't already seen it). As SFF never answer my emails as to why they arrive blank, I wonder if anyone else got this email and can enlighten me. Certainly don't want to learn that the film's been cancelled/venue has been changed once I've made the journey.

Many thanks.
