Alternatively, if you join if ODEON Première Club Deluxe or Ultimate Film Fan Packages in cinema between 1st and 31st July 2010 you will receive ‘A Bug’s Life’ on DVD absolutely free!

It seems that there are also weekly offers. This weekend it was 200 extra ODEON Points when you booked in-cinema to see 'Predators' or 300 extra points on each ticket booked online.

Has anybody joined The Odeon's scheme? I saw the latest offer of a free dvd of A Bugs Life but didn't think it was much of an incentive. If you are going to sign up I think the extra points are a much better carrot but I can't decide if the scheme itself is value for money.

I joined The Odeon scheme. I signed up at the classic level for £1.99 and then found out that if I had joined at the deluxe level for £4.99, I could have had the free dvd and extra points. After numerous emails with the odeon premier club administrator, I went back to get a refund on my original ticket with the view to upgrading to the next level. No one at the cinema knew how to do the refund, so the gave me the Bugs Life DVD to go away!! It was a proper sealed disney DVD, so definately worth the extra £3, but better still if you can persuade them to let you have a copy with the classic level membership!

My main reason for joining, was not so much to collect the points, which is a bonus, but because of the 25% discount on Tuesdays. If you join at the basic level, you may find that you are start saving money the second time that you go on a Tuesday.

That's so very true about Tuesday previews. I find Odeon prices to be so much dearer than competitors that I need to think long and hard about this scheme.
