Re: Avengers Assemble
Hope everyone enjoys the film... I will be going to see the rubbish Elfie Hopkins!
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Re: Avengers Assemble
Yeah, so that new scene shot last week following the premiere that Downey Jr mentioned, it's no big thang according to Kevin Feige. http://londonfilmfanatiq.com/2012/04/19 ... ne-rumour/
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Re: Avengers Assemble
WOW!!! What a ride!!!
Spectacular movie! Low on plot, but magnificently high on execution with superb tongue-in-cheek humour littered throughout.
Don't want to spoil too much so I'll just say this: Iron-Man and The Hulk steal the show.
Oh, you guys might find this funny. They used the smaller screen for this and the Superscreen for Elfie Hopkins.
Are you finished laughing yet?
Anyway, it was pretty much 100% full. I got there at 18h15 and had to stand in a queue for about 30 minutes. After that they collected our phones, any recording material (they took my camera too) and let us in. Managed to snag a pretty decent pair of seats but was unfortunately handed a dud pair of 3D glasses. I saw ludicrous amounts of dust & scratches throughout the movie and during the mid-credits scene borrowed Flabber's just to verify my sanity. Indeed, I did have a defective pair
Still, even like this I absolutely LOVED the movie. At 2.5 hours, it wasn't anywhere near as long as it deserved to be. I would have happily sat for another 3.
2D or 3D, either way you're guaranteed a great experience.
Highly, highly recommended.

Re: Avengers Assemble
I did suggest last week that might happen. First come first serve (Elfie Hopkins tickets were released first), and would explain why Avengers tickets went so quickly if there were less available.Jayman wrote:Oh, you guys might find this funny. I'll wait for a few more reviews but it looks like one my Odeon complimentary tickets has found a suitor
