Saw iron man 3 last night with a voucher.

I enjoyed it as it was silly fun. It was funny and over the top but glad I've seen it better than oblivion.

I loved this film so much. I am an Iron Man fan/RDJ fan and my shallowness takes over with these films because I could watch RDJ play Tony Stark all day. I had actual laughter tears at one point and I want to see it again.

Saw this at Cameo as Mud was full (:-( ). Thoroughly enjoyed this OTT nonsense. Great escapism.
Did wonder if Guy Pearce modelled his 1990's hair on Jason Donovan's from Neighbours of the same era ;-)

Here is a question. Does anyone think IMAX adds something to this movie, considering that its much more about Tony than the iron suitery?

I have one IMAX permitting voucher left at the moment from the subtitled wreck it ralph screening, and I'd rather spend it on something that demands the IMAX (A Zak Snyder movie, like MOS in June) rather than a movie that has the hero just being normal for most of the movie.

Thanks for any advice on that aspect.

There are plenty of spectacular set-pieces in the movie but I wouldn't recommend it for the sole reason that none of them were filmed using the the full-screen IMAX aspect ratio. The 3D isn't anything great either.

Saw this this evening as compensation for Failure To Enter this morning's MUD. Opted for the 2D as the 3D later option would have been a risk as they could have not let me see that. Saw alythonian for the second time in a day.

Was initially a bit underwhelmed with the film as it had a slow start and at times seemed more like a parody of itself. As has been said before it was definitely lifted with the appearance of Trevor (who I really couldn't place at all - I knew he was a famous actor but that was it!) and also the small boy who was also brilliant. I also found the scenes of multiple Iron Mans a bit incredible (meaning less than credible!) to the point of being irritatingly stupid. Yeah, yeah - the whole concept is very far-fetched anyway, but compared to the original this appeared more comic book than sci-fi.
That said I was able to kick back and enjoy it for what it was. Good fun if a little silly.

Thanks Jayman, I think I will go with that succinct advice. A big 2D screen it is then, and thus save my voucher for the SnyderMAX this summer.

Incidentally and bizzarely there was a dodgy copy of the film up on youtube briefly yesterday, which helped me decide on the format too (its gone now) Man he really isn't Iron Man for long.

Don't be put off by the fact that he hardly dons the suit.
It's a terrific movie. Easily on par with the original Iron Man.
This is a throwback to the Shane Black actioners of the 80s and it is damn entertaining!

Went to see it last night. It was exactly what I expected and wanted - over the top fun. Nothing more, nothing less. Perfect after tha crappy Monday I had.
For cheering me up and taking my mind off things ...
