Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
I saw this last night at Enfield, we were a bit early and I was asked for ID, then asked to wait to one side, which I thought was a bit strange, then a guy came along and said we could have one t.shirt and a beanie, so we just said 'cool' and walked in with them. The first time I've ever been given merchandise, have to say I personally didn't think much of the film though, so that sort of made up for it. The cinema was no more than 30% full. I also received a text and three reminders, three feedback requests yesterday and another one today.
Can't win them all. Am looking forward next to 'Going the distance'.

Saw this at Cineworld Nottingham 17/08; it was about 80% full. Got there early and there were already a few bods queuing. Two guys had t-shirts on but i don’t think they were given them on the night.
Yes there were a few funny moments but it wasn’t my cup of tea.

Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Saw this at the Grolsch screening in Edinburgh last night.
Names were on a guest list which entitled you to a screening ticket and a bottle of Grolsch. They also had cheese on sticks - according to the bumf it was supposed to be Gouda but tasted remarkably like cheap orange cheddar to me!
I know a lot of you got knockbacks on the tickets and not knowing many of you personally and how old you are I have a sneeky suspicion age might have been a decision in their ticket allocation! The majority of attendees were 25-35 with the odd "guest" outwith that age group.
Anyway, the film....
Having seen the trailers I thought I'd hate it but I really loved the film. It was excellent and the trailers really didn't do teh film or the story justice at all.
Having been to Toronto last December and visited Casa Loma I know know what the film crews were filming!!! I walked up those 200 steps!!!
The actors were great in their roles and it flowed really well as a film.
My OH loved it too - I had been worried it would be too teen/games based for him.
Loads of laughing out loud and a round of applause at the end. Edinburgh loved it!
