LOL - Yeah jojojoanne, I probably would have done that too if I'd been by myself, but I didn't want to shock my old school friend with my "tightness" on our first meet up in 30 odd years. He's bound to notice it eventually though.

Diane - Your posts are always full of great ideas for tasty but low calorie options. o/ Your green bean, celery and carrot chilli in particular sounds very yummy. I'm gonna try and concoct something similar myself along those lines.

Weekly weigh-ins sound good to me - I'm going with that. I'm going to add a weight loss element somewhere in my signature, so that I keep on track and suffer public humiliation if I don't start losing some weight. :D

Today's breakfast: A lovely ripe pear and a pot of earl grey.

I've veggie kebab again tonight (forgot to say that the pitta bread is only 124 calories) as I got carried away with b*ying so much veg and going to have strawberries and a small scoop of ice-cream shortly but as I love chocolate I'm going to grate one piece of chocolate over the ice-cream, its amazing how much chocolate you get from one square and it satisfies my sweet tooth.

Preston1990 how on earth do you survive on one pear and Earl Grey for breakfast?

Now need to get my body moving a bit more.

I've had rice krispies cereal for breakfast, 4 apples as snacks(trying to cut down), had a large lunch if 2 mccains jackets with beans and a bit of cheese, and now just had a prawn mayo sandwich for my cinema lunch before work :)
Going to the bank to sort a joint account with my bf tomorrow going to the gym for my first personal training session, hoping they can show me how to tone up my thighs and arms! :)

In a similar way to that in which a camel survives without water when crossing the desert! :D

......and Ahem, that was just my first breakfast! 8O

No, actually I'm just joking, that really was the only one I had.

I did have a steak with rocket, watercress and spinach leaves without any dressing (:punches air in triumph) for lunch though, at around 12:30.

Tonight, I'll be making stirfried vegetables with egg thread noodles drizzled with a small amount of dark soy sauce to add a bit of taste. I'm going to hold off for as long as possible before I make it, so there's less chance of snacking later on (I know where the crisps and creme eggs are hidden :nono: )

Must keep off the slipery-slip!

Ages since I cooked something properly, i.e. from scratch, so I mentioned to my sister that I'd made something for dinner, saying I'd used raw ingredients, to try to convey what I meant. She obviously knows how lazy I usually am and asked if I'd served it raw, too! (No, actually, in case others have equally little faith in me. And - but of course - it was very healthy.)

The cheek of her :nono: I knew it would be healthy and you are certainly not lazy.

Preston the steak sounds gorgeous and I love spinach and rocket, I always have it with grilled tomatoes and I had a recipe for a relish made orange marmalade which adds some extra flavour, I will try to find it. By the way where are the creme eggs hidden? I love them so would make myself go for a very long walk so that I could have one (that's my downfall so need nagging re this).

rawr_xoxo well done with your healthy eating. What's a McCains jacket? I assume a jacket potato.

That looks delicious and I would never have thought of using cabbage instead of pasta, certainly one for me to try. The fish and chips on the blog looks really nice, I wish I liked fish (I should try it again and see if I can get to like it - the first 16 years of my life I had to have cod liver oil every day (my mother made me to do me good) hence I hate fish).

I don't like fish, but sea bass is good - tastes non-fishy and has quite a meat texture... might be one to try?
