Temperatures are expected to significantly drop across the United Kingdom by the end of this week.

The Met Office says the weather will turn colder, bringing the United Kingdom an early taste of winter.

Colder air is expected to flow from Russia and Scandinavia, causing temperatures to drop more than 5 degrees below the average for the end of November.

There is currently a Met Office advisory warning of snow showers for the north and north east of the country Wednesday night into Thursday.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful... (you know the words)....... and I'm off to work any minute now. We scraped the snow off the car, got the walking boots and wellies out of the garage, and I've got a flask of tea. Wish me luck - the roads will be awful. Catch up with you all later - much later.

I heard on Heart radio this morning that it was snowing in North London, can anyone confirm please ? If so, I hope it comes to West London, we want it here !!!

None in my neck of the woods (Surrey/Sussex) so far, thank goodness, and it can jolly well stay away so far as I'm concerned. I dread trying to commute in it, whether by car or public transport, and at the strange hours that I work. In fact, much of the time there is no public transport and it's too far to walk, so if I can't drive either, that's it!
