saw this in Edinburgh tonight.
it was about 35% full.

I really enjoyed it and preferred it to the Switch.

Drew Barrymore was very good throughout.

Some of it was a bit crude for under 15s but open for all I'd say.

A good evening out and excellent soundtrack!

Saw this film today at Islington Vue. We arrived just shortly before the film started, but we still found good seats. I was surprised at how empty the tube carriages were at around 6 pm. I guess everyone decided to leave work really early.

I liked this rom-com much more than the Switch. It is a bit rude, but that doesn't bother me at all, considering that in my town people swear a lot. To a certain extent, the story reminded me of my long distance relationship with my bf, though we did meet more often, at least once a month. I eventually decided to quit my job in Germany and move here.

I was surprised to see that Jim Gaffigan (a stand-up comedian who I saw a few months ago, courtesy of SFF) was in the film too.

I really enjoyed this too! A bit crude in parts, but that didn't bother me at all!! And some great laugh out loud moments; the tanning booth, the "table scene"!! Nice to sit with prettyxcool :D

8/10 from me

Went to see it at Sheffield Cineworld after turning up last week for it (oops I didnt read the cancellation email- naughty)!! Found it one of the better rom-coms, I am getting a bit tired of the same format films now, but thank goodness for Tamara Drewe which was a breath of fresh air.

There were some really funny moments, but I thought the crudeness and language spoiled it a bit. A lot of it wasn't really needed for it to be a good film. Drewe was ace and played her part well. Open Door policy - hilarious and true ( I am sure most of us have this policy secretly at home) 7/10

We watched this yesterday in Cambridge - Surprisingly good for what I thought would be a standard chick flick! Definitely better than the Switch which we watched last month...

The cinema was only half full though, lots of empty seats... not the first time either! :wall:

good romcom, well acted. Drew's warped form a chippy innocent blonde to a gravel toned, intelligent flame.

my only qualm (well not really a qualm, more of an oddity) would be that thirty year olds always seem to be portrayed as very sarcastic buggers, as if thats a sign of experience and wisdom. i dont think it is, its more of a feature of 16 year olds who are trying to sound intelligent.

Man, i never thought i would see Drew start looking old. :( must be all those drugs when she was young.

hard to put a mark on a film thats not trying to be anything more than real life fun, but 8/10.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

I'm gonna give this film an 8.5 because it isn't a standard rom com and I thought most of the jokes were funny and it had a good storyline. The only thing that could be improved was the chemistry of the two main characters at some points.
