maybe I am toughening up but I did not find this version nearly as sickening as the 2009 one! But again that might just be my brain playing funny with my memories!

The ending was different, right? (closer to the book?)

Yes and no. The final showdown (so to speak is different and closer to the book) but the later reveal is different from the Swedish film/book, but it doesn't make a lot of difference.

I haven't read the book and I barely remember the Swedish movie... plus I will have forgotten the ending of this one in the next 24 hours.. so what you are saying is not really helping :mrgreen:
