I saw this tonight, I had never witnessed one of these films before and fully expected, despite Dwayne Johnson's presence, to be bored and annoyed by the lack of fun involved. Fast Five is a helluva lot of fun, it's loud, stupid and lives on the charm of it's cast. A great action thriller to open the summer, shocking though it may be, I'll give this an 8. Really liked it.

Maybe it's because I used to watch wrestling, but I just can't get used to calling him Dwayne Johnson. Can't they just credit him as his stage name "The Rock"

It's kinda like when Will Smith took up serious acting, for a few years, I always looked at him as the Fresh Prince.

As for the film, I expect fast cars & weak plot... CAN'T WAIT!!!

I prefer him not wanting to always be The Rock. The Rock was great, shouty, punchy, trigger happy and has some killer lines.

Lucky you, managing to get into that screening yesterday. I don't think FF series is the kind of film the UK warms to, but the last film does hold the biggest April opening ever in the States and judging by the reviews to the film. There's going to be a FF6
