Even Smurfs have rules! To break the world record, every Smurf will need to follow the Guinness World Records™ rules for the day.



The record is: The greatest number of people dressed as Smurfs



The rules are:



TIMINGS:

- The world record attempt will take place from 5.00 – 5.10pm

- The world record attempt will take place in a secure barriered area – you will be counted in to the area by special Smurfy counters

- All participants must be in position simultaneously and remain so for a minimum of 10 minutes

- A loud start and finish signal will sound to mark the start and finish of the attempt

- All participants must wear the costume for the entirety of the attempt



COSTUMES:

- Each participant must be wearing a complete Smurf costume

- The Smurf outfit should be:

o A white smurf hat, white trousers or shorts, white shoes and a blue painted body / blue top

o White socks are fine as a substitute for white shoes. However, all participants need to wear some sort of white foot covering (we will provide disposable white shoe covers on the day if you need them)

o All exposed skin must be painted blue. Any part of the body covered by clothing does not need to be painted but the face, arms and legs must be painted if exposed (We will be doing the rounds to top you up if we see any non-blue skin!)

o Blue gloves are perfectly acceptable for hands provided the rest of your body is painted blue in all the correct places!

o Other than a basic Smurf, other Smurf characters may also be included in the attempt, but these characters must be pre-approved by Guinness World Records prior to the attempt. Examples that are allowed include:

§ Smurfette: Must have long blonde hair or wig and a white sleeveless dress

§ Papa Smurf: Must have a white beard, red hat and red trousers

o If you come dressed as other Smurf characters you must carry the necessary accessories of that character
