I really want to see this although I may get fed up of the trailer before it comes out - I have seen the trailer about 4 or 5 times at recent cinema visits. It still makes me laugh (at the moment) - might not be saying that in a month's time!

I tried to view this with an open mind after seeing the bloody trailer so many times, not to mentiion the Odeon premiere club ads (sometimes I was unlucky enough to see both before a film).

It is a daft film but one can overlook the implausibility of the story as it is obvious the cast are having a lot of fun and the film never takes itself too seriously. English is a silly character and could easily become annoying if not for the charm of Rowan Atkinson. The plot is a bit ridiculous and predictable with a villain one can see coming a mile away. There are decent supporting perfomances from Pike, West and Anderson but no real character development. A comedic spy caper with a few laugh out loud moments, it is entertaining family fun. 6/10.

There is an amusing scene playing at the ends of the credits that is worth watching.

We can talk about it?
Well then, I had my head in my hands often, a painfully unfunny 'comedy' that uses the jokes of "Woman from behind looks like bad guy but is actually innocent old woman, and gets hit a lot" and "Man keeps pratfalling or saying the wrong things, laugh now" until your eyes bleed from the horror.
Given the level of humour (low, very low), the amount of intense gunplay mixed up in it all seems a little too intense for the little ones, some kids around me were crying, which made for a fun experience...

I hoped for at least a few laughs, the first one isn't awful, but this is, this really is, maybe one of the worst films of the year. 1/10.

Isn't the embargo just for "press"?

I wasn't asked to sign anything before the screening despite seeing boxes of papers next to the lady holding the guestlist.

Asked the PR and apparently it's solely for website reviews, everything else is fine. Wish they were clearer earlier.

Whilst I do agree that a lot of the gags fell flat, there were a few funny moments. I knew this was going to be a bonkers film so I wasn't expecting a slick spy drama like James Bond. I haven't seen the first film in ages so it's hard to compare them, except I think Malkovich made a far better baddie.
