On my way home after seeing this at Chelsea.
I really enjoyed it. Ok it was predictable but aren't all rom Coms ?!
Funny too and love Justin timberlake. a girl can't ask for more on a Tuesday night really.

I thought this was a great rom-com, really feelgood. Surprised Crawley wasn't that well-attended - not even half-full. I liked Mila Kunis much more than I did in Black Swan (the only other film I've seen her in) though almost anyone would have appealed to me more than Justin Timberlake! And always great to see Patricia Clarkson and Richard Jenkins.

ugh! absolutely hated this! I would have walked out except I was trapped in along a row and the girls next to me were having nachos and it was difficult enough hopping over the used nacho tray when the lights went up. I did consider vaulting over the front row but that would have caused a scene and I would have probably broken an ankle or something.

The only film I've ever seen Justin Timberlake in was in was The Social Network and although he kinda made my skin crawl in that I thought it was intentional and went with the character. I discovered tonight it wasn't a one-off and he makes my skin crawl in anything but I do like his music, wish he'd stick to that. ugh! but mentioning music has reminded me of the cringey singing bits he did in this. So basically I find him deeply unattractive and can't think of anything worse that seeing his spotty back on a massive screen. I don't think he can act either.

Why couldn't he and Bryan Greenberg swapped roles? he would have been perfect as the lead and JT could have added a certain amount of creepiness as the doctor. At least now I know to avoid JT films unless he's in a minor role.

2/10 (one point for Mila Kunis, and a second one for her having to kiss and have sex scenes with Justin Timberlake, poor thing!)

edit: the film itself was fine and would have made a good predictable rom-com if only they'd got the casting right.

I loved this. Likeable leads (sorry, elski but I did like Justin Timberlake a lot!), and a funny and warm story. Miles better than No Strings Attached! I loved all the digs at movies in the movie, LOL.
It seems to be en vogue though to have an Alzheimer father stashed away somewhere. That would be okay if they were portrayed as they really were though - forgetful, repetitive and confused - not taking their pants off in public while waxing lyrical about loved ones.
It was great to see so many FMUKers tonight - thanks to ejwrank for the Empire Mag and the bag, to valda for the Evening Standard and to cliveas for another book!

Not as funny on repeat viewing but I still enjoyed it. The change of tone doesn't sit right in the second with the heavy-handed introduction of the Alzheimer's subplot but this never gets too schmaltzy. Great chemistry and banter between the attractive leads and a strong (if underused) supporting cast. 7/10 (I think that was my score last time too).

ID checks at Enfield. And yet another TF screening that is less than 50% full.

Saw this and quite enjoyed the anti-rom-com take on it all, absolutely loved Mila Kunis in this role and a great supply of comedy from most involved
