I think I liked it, mostly. Shall mull this over and expand on this a bit later... Just feel the need to tell people I survived!
My feelings as well, I was in 2 minds whether to bother with this one and hadnt seen the trailer, but thought I would give it a go and I really enjoyed it and found it much better than I expected. I laughed quite a lot, as did my friend, I agree though it would not be to everyone's taste and it was in the vein of Superbad, which I also enjoyed. Not the best film of the year but nowhere near the worst.

so was it just me that felt sick by the scenes near the end? and I'm not talking about gross-out scenes.

After what so many cities in the UK went through last summer a film that basically is going to justify all those criminals and kids that rioting is just part of 'partying' and having fun is most definitely NOT cool. And even though it's an 18 I can see them all getting hold pirated copies (of course) and think it the coolest thing ever.

The rest of the film wasn't bad in itself once you got used to the camera shake but it just reminded me of how funny Superbad was in comparison especially as the sidekick friend in this was just plain annoying rather than funny.

Don't think that's a very fair comment because
at the end of the movie, none of our three protagonists actually walk away without their futures severely compromised. If anything it sends a message that being cool in school plays no part whatsoever in determining the outcome of your future.I agree, everything we saw was played for laughs but I think it may have been in manner of 'black comedy' (ala "Very Bad Things"). Having said that, the Dad's surprisingly mild reaction was the one thing I thought was absolutely ridiculous.
Ditto. I couldn't stand him either.

I thought this was really very funny, I cringed in a few places though, but laughed an awful lot.

I can see why it is rated '18' and I will certainly not be leaving my children for a weekend alone, not until they are at least 21!

OMG, how bad was this film. I did not think I would like it and I did not, must be getting too old. I just found it really, really boring and exhausting to watch. The camera work made me dizzy and gave me a really bad headache, the party was boring, and went on and on, just a gross exaggeration of what goes on and I did not find it funny at all, or interesting, although the back row was in hysterics! I nearly fell asleep, cos I was just bored. It was crude, senseless and tasteless. 0/10

yeah because kids these days are going to bother reading bits at the end
the bits they showed
made him to be the coolest thing ever. Plus they never even said if he had a prison sentence
Just shows what a state society is in when people do just think it's funny and think this doesn't filter through and have repercussions on what people think is acceptable behaviour.

I'd say this was the same type of film as Ferris Bueller, but this was not the innocent type of film Ferris Bueller was (certainly not for under 18's)
