I can't understand why they're still showing that short film when they have a new winner from this years entrants?? This years one much more suitable for kids. At least I now know I was in the correct screening. Reading reviews here, I thought I was watching something else, I couldn't wait for it to end, thought Tinkerbell yesterday was better!!

I don't think that's the point. Some children might understand it and the fact that the guy in the short film was wearing special glasses and there we all were sitting in the cinema with our 3D glasses at the ready made it more uncomfortable. The short was totally unsuitable for a family audience and Virgin should know better. I told the Virgin rep this when I left. Feel free to call me old fashioned or worse -- it was a poor choice from Virgin.
Totally agree it was very inappropriate before what was a wonderful film. 8/10

Sounds like we are all in agreement regarding the short before the film, it was an odd decision to show it before a kids film. Either show another one or don't show one at all.

I thought the film was ok, a few too many chases and not enough laughs for me.

Saw this this morning in a pretty full Braehead Odeon. Even helped the Virgin girl out a wee bit right at the start.

Whilst this film looked pretty good and the 3D at the start was great the 3D effects did get boring with the same snowdrops and other things being 3D-ed. Also it was dark at times. Decent enough story but there was something missing. 5/10

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

I saw this today and thought it was adorable (my heart absolutely warmed.) Very odd to hear Hugh Jackman speaking in his natural accent, though! I want to do a food and film review for this - any suggestions as to what foods would fit?

Cookies? Ginger bread? Easter eggs shaped ones, santa, teeth, sandy(very easy silhouette shape) nightmares, and of course jack(snowflakes or the cane?)

I missed out on VM's freebie but thanks to O2 I got to see this in 2D.

Admittedly, I drifted in & out because I was a bit tired but I enjoyed it. Not taxing & there was a moral to the story :)

Glad I stayed through the credits for the extras.
