Caught this today with the last of my Esso vouchers.
I thought this was a cool film, well acted and well written. I was so impressed with Kirsten Scott Thomas's French that I struggled even to recognise her let alone spot that she wasn't a natural French-speaking actress.
I loved the device of actors not actually in a scene still appearing in the scene as they view it being related to them.
Slightly concerned about an almost big spoiler being given away in the Film Classification Certificate at the start of the film containing
This film contains scenes of sex and a hanging.
I was slightly disappointed with the ending of the story as I felt this could have been done in a cleverer way with a better twist. Great original premise. Best foreign film of the year so far for me.
7/10
