Re: The Croods
I don't get the balcony love... The back rows are too far from the screen and the front one has a railing forcing you to sit up straight or it's slightly restricted view. Give me middle/back of the downstairs area any day

The seats are comfier, you get a little table and well, a balcony in a cinema is a bit of a novelty.canadian_turtle wrote:I don't get the balcony love... If this is in a much smaller screen than usual, I guess hopes for more tickets being released end here.

Re: The Croods
What she said. I think the last row is exactly the right distance from the screen and you are incredibly close to the toilets too (things I have to factor in these days!)asamaic wrote:The seats are comfier, you get a little table and well, a balcony in a cinema is a bit of a novelty.canadian_turtle wrote:I don't get the balcony love... Re: The Croods
I agree the view from the balcony is amazing. I managed to get seats on the front row a few weeks back and thought they were some of the best seats I've ever had a cinema. Nice comfy seats, perfect view and a little table to put my drink and snacks on. Re: The Croods
It's not just that they're close to the toilets, but that you can bag a seat and wander out hassle free as the toilets for the balcony are after the ticket check point.Beate wrote:What she said. My favourite seats (not that I often get them) are in the centre, a few rows down from Beate's. I'm not stupid, I'm never going to fight Beate for her favourite place in the balcony!

Re: The Croods
Just back from seeing The Croods at the O2. I'm so glad I managed to get tickets for it as it was so much fun. The hunting scene at the beginning is simply spectacular and hilarious. Great animation and superb script with many laugh out loud moments and jokes, my favourite being:
-What is a pet?
An animal you don't eat.
-We call those children"
There are also many themes touched upon and wonderfully cute creatures, like Belt and the mouse elephants. A real treat for all! This is the funniest animated movie I have seen for some time. A 10/10 from me.
For a moment I thought it was going to be one of those non-starter previews as the 3D did not work but luckily they got their act together pretty quickly.

Re: The Croods
On my way back from the O2 too. After a few hitches with the 3D were sorted, I really enjoyed the film.
Very much a children's film, so i dont think it wiuld appeal to everyone, but I loved the animation and the 3D. Some laugh out loud moments and a good storyline.
6.5/10
