I also thought that the short film was a very bad example to be setting little kids as it was really nothing other than a junk food advert in my opinion. Personally I'd have banned it I thought it was so wrong.

I have to agree with you. I think that, although the short film was cute, it sets a bad example. After eating so much junk food, the dog would surely be obese. Also, it might give children the idea that it's okay to feed pets sweets and junk food.

I'm with the ones that thought it was average too. Built up but a poor mans incredibles. A cross between cloudy meatballs, wreck it Ralph and planes.

Just out from seeing this with weeyinster, mcg, ploggit and teddybear1. It was great fun, the waens loved it and the big waens aswell. Overall it was a 7.5/10

Not recommended for very young children as overarching theme is one of coping with loss / death.

I loved the short film, Feast! The dog was great as the receiver of food appropriate to the stage of life of his owner. I think some folk are reading too much into the film ie the junk food. If you consider the fact that the owner has aged probably 20+ years then it's unlikely the dog would even be alive!
Yes it did show a lot of junk food and food that dogs shouldn't eat but I doubt if seeing this short will make children /people start feeding them different from how they currently do! I don't really think the point of the film was to make a moral point about what dogs eat.
I absolutely loved the first 45 minutes of Big Hero6 . . .the marshmallow man is my type! He was cute, cuddly and very friendly.
However, I do think this was a film of 2 halves as the 2nd part definitely changed to be a super heroes story where Big Hero 6 was less cute, etc.
I was bemused at the use of the Japanese names, shop signs, etc when the film definitely seemed set in the US. Are they trying to make the film more appealing to the Far Eastern countries? I know most major cities do have fairly large Chinese populations but I did feel that there was an attempt to use this film to appeal in the East.
I agree with some others about the suitability of the film for young children. They will love the first half and giggle away as they did at this morning's screening but were definitely not as involved in the 2nd half.

Saw this this morning. Personally I thought this was great. Definitely laughing out several times. And it was so sad too. Person behind us was sobbing loudly towards the end. 8/10 Liked the short film too

Who need princesses in Disney films? I think this will appeal to a wider audience as well.

Whilst there are two Disneylands in the Far East (Hong Kong and Japan) I don't think Disney has ever really conquered the market there. Disney are competing with Sanrio whose characters are huge. You might have heard of Hello Kitty, their most popular character. Though I do know Frozen was very popular in Hong Kong the last time I was there in November.

I watched the film yesterday with times preview, I have to admit this film is a great entertainer from the beginning to the end. I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it. This is an all rounder movie.

Forgot to mention, but saw this a few weeks ago with Den of Geek and loved it to pieces. One of the best animated films I've seen in a long time and only on par with Frozen. Have been listening to title track Immortals from Fall Out Boy non-stop since seeing the film as well; great soundtrack on top of good animation (loved the sequence where the team came together), excellent characters and a fantastic story (except for the villain, which seemed a bit like an afterthought).

The movie was set in San Fransokyo; a fusion of the Japan the original Marvel comics the film is adapted from are set in (this also explains the Japanese names for the characters, as they are from the comics), and a recognisable American city to represent the Disney company.
