A Little Chaos
Re: A Little Chaos
I saw this in Bristol yesterday. An unusual topic beautifully filmed and well acted. I would agree with the term 'gentle' to describe this film. Very watchable!

Watched it at a packed Notting Hill; I was not expecting much but I rather enjoyed it...'gentle' seems rather apt!Bluebell wrote:I saw this in Bristol yesterday. An unusual topic beautifully filmed and well acted. I would agree with the term 'gentle' to describe this film. Very watchable!

Re: A Little Chaos
It could have done with a little more chaos or a little something to liven it up. Though we could hear the music from the cinema arcade through the wall during the many quieter scenes!!
Too slow for me and/or not engaging enough, though good to see Stanley Tucci as ever and the mistaken identity scene with Alan Rickman was very good.
5/10

Re: A Little Chaos
Went to premiere tonight at Odeon Kensington (many thanks to elski).
Was told to arrive by 6.15 to collect tickets, so we did. Doors open at 6.30pm, so we asked security where we could watch the red carpet. Everyone who had tickets were ushered into a pen. I managed to get a good spot. We waited patiently. Helen McCrory turned up in dark glasses, followed by her husband, Damien Lewis and her father. Then some B-listers turned up, blonde singer from Hear'say, Richard Wilson (One Foot in Grave), Miranda Richardson, Steven Waddington, Alan Rickman, and finally Kate Winslet, who came in the back way but she did return to sign autographs and take some selfies using fans' cameras! Brilliant! I managed to ger her autograph only.

As I expected premieres at Odeon Kensington means that comp winners are segregated into a back room, the tinier the better, it seems, and a freezer to boot tonight. Screen 3 was so, so cold. I thought I would freeze to death! Everyone had their coats on. Lovely to see cliveas and his plus one, three nights in a row, anybody would have thought he was stalking me! Thanks cliveas for saving us a seat while we chase after the cast for photos, to no avail and by the time security let us out of the pens, we just made it in time, well I almost missed the start, as the film just started as we stumbled in the dark trying to locate our seats, no ushers were around to help us! Blah!
Good performances all round, and Stanley Tucci stole the show, as did his wife, the German Princess, they both gave the film some light relief from all that period drama and tension. Pleasant but slow. 7/10

Re: A Little Chaos
Really liked this film, really nicely shot - some great understated scenes. Stanely Tucci was fabulously over the top - a really nice Sunday afternoon film. 6/10
