Freeman to marry his step-grandaughter?
Morgan Freeman is reportedly set to marry his 27-year-old step-granddaughter. 8O
The Shawshank Redemption star, 72, is planning on wedding E'Dena Hines once he is divorced from his second wife Myrna - reports The National Enquirer.

Hines is the granddaughter of Freeman's first wife - and he and Myrna have raised her since she was a young child.
A family insider told the National Enquirer, "Becoming Mrs Freeman has been E'Dnea's goal.
"It's not technically incest, because they are not related by blood. Morgan is trying desperately to keep his divorce out of open court so all the shameful facts won't become public."
Another family member told the tabloid, "Morgan has led her to believe that he wants to marry her."

Reynolds is the Green Lantern.

Ryan Reynolds has seen off Justin Timberlake and The Hangover's Bradley Cooper to win the role of superhero the Green lantern.
The proposal actor will play the intergalactic character - whose powers come from a ring from space - in a new major Hollywood blockbuster. Casino Royale's Martin Campbell is on helming duties.

Timberlake, Cooper and Reynolds were on the final shortlist for the part - but Reynolds was eventually chosen. The other two must be green with envy!
He's the only male actor to have played heroes for both Marvel and DC. He played Deadpool in the recent Wolverine movie, and there is talk he will appear in a spin-off film involving that character.
Halle Berry is the only female to have done the same - playing Storm in both Marvel's X-Men films and DC's Catwoman.

(can't remember him in Wolverine, will have to look it up)

Third 'Bridget Jones' in works

The untitled third "Bridget Jones" pic, which is still in its early stages and probably won't go into production until the end of next year, will see Zellweger reprise her role as a British publishing exec struggling to find love.

It will likely be based on the weekly columns author Helen Fielding wrote in 2005 for British newspaper the Independent in which Bridget, now in her 40s, attempts to have a baby before it's too late.

Working Title co-toppers Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan have yet to set a writer or director.

The books were much funnier than either of the films, although I enjoyed the first film more than the second, which dragged on a bit. I don't think I'll rush out to see this.
You can understan the reasoning behind making a third film - money, and lots of it.
The first two films - 2001's Bridget Jones Diary and the sequel Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason - took over $500 million worldwide. The production company must be hoping something similar this time round.

Harrison Ford is the highest pa*d actor of 2009, thanks to his turn in the fourth Indiana Jones blockbuster.

The actor has had a quiet time of late on the box office front, but that all changed when he decided to reprise his role as the adventuring archaeologist in 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' last year.

Ford, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas managed to cut a lucrative deal, which saw them split the majority of the film's profit between themselves. Thus, the $65 million he earned between June 2008 and 2009 has made him the highest-pa*d actor on Forbes Magazine's annual Celebrity 100 list.

Funnyman Adam Sandler was second on the list, earning $55 million thanks to high profile comedies 'You Don't Mess With The Zohan', 'Bedtime Stories' and the forthcoming 'Funny People'.

Will Smith may not have impressed the critics with his last two movies – 'Hancock' and 'Seven Pounds' – but they still found an audience, meaning he hovers in third place.

Eddie Murphy and the perennial workaholic Nicolas Cage round out the top five.

Last year's number two Johnny Depp could only manage tenth place this year after earning $27 million. But with a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean set to sail soon he'll no doubt be swashbuckling his way back up the charts.

Will Ferrell was at the bottom of the top twenty after seeing his films suffer a steady decline at the box office.

What do you think of the list? Does Harrison Ford deserve to be the highest pa*d actor in Hollywood? If not, who do you think should be the highest earner?

Just back from the Crime Writing Festival, where I was at a session with Lee Child. He said that Paramount had pa*d to keep the rights for his books, so that indicated that this would go ahead. Currently, they are discussing the role of Jack Reacher with Hugh Jackman.

BTW - Lee Child is tall, like his character, but not the same build.

BTW 2 - his younger(youngest?) brother (Andrew Grant) has just published a book. He came on later in Lee Child's session. Lee Child had earlier said he had made Jack Reacher a nomad, so he could have a fresh new chapter every book. The wannabe crime writers wrote this down. Then his brother came on, and someone asked where his books would be set - in the US like his brother? Yes, he said, NY, Chicago, and then anywhere...

Cynical? Moi? I hope these are good.

BTW - Lee Child has some very funny lines in his interview, but not all totally added up. The best comments were in response to some of the questions, when no holds were barred.

Second report from The Crime Writing Festival. George Pelecanos (of the wonderful books and The Wire) is trying to get a film together, and has scripts, actors, etc. in place, but the funding is not finalised. Dominic West (aka Jimmy McNulty in the Wire) was in, but seems now to have moved on (but who knows?? )

He has also been working on a new series on New Orleans (which I think is the one being trailed on Five US), and on a follow on to Band of Brothers (with Tom Hanks, etc.) set in the Pacific. He did this latter one as his father served there...)

George Pelecanos should be a worldwide ambassador for the US. He is totally multicultural, from a working class background (which you can see in his work), and obviously educated and bright. He has a strong social ethic, which comes through in his discussion. He does teaching in prisons as well as his writing, and got the Pogues to play (well, they did it - he did not know that they would do it. He thought they were meeting for a drink!) And he was very funny! If you get the chance to listen to him - do so...

Watch here.... 4 videos from the London Launch of his latest book - or what he called his 'Guinness research'!... The Pogues - who have individually become friends of his through The Wire - turned up for their first pub gig in years....

http://www.veoh.com/browse/morelike/v18817446TX5aj5rt (Pelecanos talking about his new book - 16 minutes!! Poss for The Wire or Pelecanos fans only - or if you want to listen to a really nice guy). I'm having problems with the links - two are showing as the same, but there are four linked ones. Hope you can find them - if not search on the names - Pelecanos and Pogies

http://www.veoh.com/browse/morelike/v18 ... 45pNqq5AGT 9 mins of the Pogues

http://www.veoh.com/browse/morelike/v18 ... 43DF54pD5d 8 mins of the Pogues

http://www.veoh.com/browse/morelike/v18817446TX5aj5rt 8 minutes of the Pogues

BTW - The link between Pelecanos and the Pogues is the wakes in The Wire!

BTW2 - the book signing queue for George Pelecanos was the longest that I saw. He was the star.. and I don't have a ticket for his sesssion
