I got a ticket. not convinced it'll be any good though.
Last time I reckon there was no-one over 35 there.
Next time why don't you all accidentally fill in the wrong age in the box by accident and after all a lady never reveals her true age?

I don't really think they pick people based on age...

oh, I'm absolutely convinced they did last time out for the Grolsh Scott Pilgrim screening.

They were clearly targeting students and "younger" persons who might be their target Grolsh market which is, I guess, fair enough.

I really could have counted the over 35s on 1 hand and they may well have been the "guests". they did ask your age on the form.

Obviously they couldn't admit it as that's discrimination but.....

Hmmm...really I don't remember putting my age on it, been to a few screenings recently where I clearly wasn't their "target" audience. I don't think Cyrus is going to be that popular like SP

I got the sod off email as well but I only entered so I could give the tickets away, I can't even make that date. I still don't like the rejection...

But I didn't get anything for Pilgrim either, and I'm an appropriate enough age. (Or am I too young for them?)

I have tickets too Alythonian. I didn't get tickets last time but as you know I am just over 21!!! :giggle: I put my true age both times for tickets so they are obviously not so fussy this time round !

Just pm'd MM to see if she wants to be my plus one - she's just over 21 too!!

What a nice surprise the audience got after a long wait for the film to begin, we had some surprise guests, which included one of the directors, Jay DuPlass and John C Reilly, who was particularly charming in front of the audience.
As for the film, what a quirky little dramedy. I would be interested to hear what everyone else thinks, the audience in the cinema seemed to love it, laughing at every opportunity.
It was a slight breath of fresh air, seeing Jonah Hill in an unconventional role and to see John C Reilly carry a film instead of always playing a supporting role. Marisa Tomei was also suitably charming. The story flowed along nicely with quite a few laughs, but this is an actor's film. It's the starring roles of these 3 main actors that anchor the film, if they were replaced by some nobodies,it probably wouldn't have worked.
As the story went from more comedy to drama, I actually thought the storyline was quite boring and certainly it was the regular improvs in various scenes which saves the film (as the director alluded to in his introduction). I think other people might rate this film higher, but I am giving it a 7/10
