Bevvy's comment has made me very happy - it's obviously a good film and done the book justice.

I'm not complaining too much about that - Total Film put on a screening in London last August !
I would quite like to see it again though as it was my favourite film of last year.
Oh I didn't realise that? That was before I had discovered the wonder that is free screenings!!

Weekdays: Central London (all West End), West India Quay, Greenwich O2, Vue Islington
Weekends: Greenwich (O2, Odeon, PH), Vue Stratford City, Stratford PH

It was a comp on their website I think. But there were hundreds of tickets on offer - it was at the huge screen at the Empire Leicester Square during Frightfest.

Must have completely overlooked that back then - or the Frightfest title scared me off. Oh well.

It was only when I got the winning e-mail that I realised what it was. They referred to it only as Millennium.

Found the comp in the archives - if it was 29th August, that was Saturday before Bank Holiday Monday so I am pretty certain I was on holiday in Sussex back then so couldn't have made it. Phew.

You didn't need to look in the archive for the date. The first post in this thread says that I had seen it that afternoon.

I've only just b*ght the book so if they did do a screening in London, I'd be torn over whether to see the film or read the book. Same with Shutter Island, I've got the book but holding off on reading it until I've seen the film.
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks
