I think I will be giving this film a miss, looks to sad for me, I would be in tears in the cinema.

I'm desperate to see it. I adore John Cameron Mitchell and Hedwig & The Angry Inch is in my top 5 of all time.

I hear the reviews have been great but I've been deliberately avoiding any press/previews of the film so I can just enjoy it blind.

Its going to be one of those film either people will love or be bored mindless. Not too much happens in the 90+ minutes, but it is a classy touching film about grief. It's definitely a slow burner, I am not sure if many people will "get" the film, certainly it got the wrong response at the end of the film, when some people in the audience laughed! Nicole Kidman gives a solid if not award winning performance. I would say for this kind of genre I much prefer something like Revolutionary Road.
Won't be everyone's cup of tea but 7/10

I really liked this. It's a gentle film about grief and how differently people deal with it. I liked how they forgave the young driver of the car that killed their son, and that she found solace in the thought of parallel universes (expertly drawn in the Rabbit Hole comic) - that there might be a version out there somewhere of her having fun. I also really liked the fact that they got better and they managed to stay together and bear the people around them, who mostly just meant well. When you are grieving, a lot of things can sound insensitive to you, and people don't know how to react to you. I loved how her mother told the story of how her neighbour came over almost every day after her son had died "to share her grief", and how she finally snapped and told her that all she was sharing were her cinnamon buns and that she should get her fat ass out of her chair! One of the rare moments of laughter in the film - unless you are that woman who inexplicably started giggling during the first bereavement group session, which I thought was just a little insensitive!

Although I kind of agreed with Nicole Kidman's character in her perception of what she called "god botherers and wallowers" - I also see that we all deal with grief differently and if you find solace in the thought that God took your child because he needed a new angel, then I guess that's ok - although I personally would have told God to bloody make his own if he was that desperate!

It's the first time in a long time I have seen Nicole Kidman with red hair again and it suits her so much better than her dyed blonde mane that just makes her look like a Hollywood doll!

When I got up after the film I finally realised that we were sitting next to hottips whom I haven't seen in ages! Lovely to meet you again!

I on the other hand, really didn't enjoy this film much at all, I thought the male lead was good, the ending was good, but for me could of come a little sooner!

I must be one of those people who just didn't 'get it', it really didn't work for me, I was bored, I liked the male lead, Nicole Kidman's character just bored me, I did like how it ended and thought that was the best 5 minutes of the film (and not just because it was ending) but overall it wasn't for me, which was a shame as i was really looking forward to this one.

But hey wouldn't it be a boring world if we all liked the same things!

It didnt work for me either. Good male lead vs. Plastic face Nicole Kidman that nowadays looks really inespressive. The main idea of the movie is good but it coukd have lasted 30mins... It's one of those movie where you wish you could fast forward and still you wouldnt miss that much. It makes me really angryo because I was really looking forward to it and now I wish I picked an other screening today.

You liked the ending? The people at my screening laughed at the ending! (I don't think thats what the director was looking for somehow)
