Fortunately she did complain separately and she got 2 so we got 3 overall so wasn't so bada_person wrote:Well they truly deserved the comments you made on your blog and they should see it! They should consider your blog as a whip on their backside! It doesn't say much about them anyway.
BTW, you should have told them your ticket was for two even if you wrote it as "I." Or replied, my plus 1 was inconvenienced and I don't see an offer for her so should I get her to complain separately!

Re: Drive
I've never actually had any problems there so can't complain (yet). We also have a few nice independent including the smallest cinema in Europe (it used to be the smallest in the world, but now there are 22 seats instead of 21 so that accolade seems to have changed). I'm thinking of doing some kind of feature reviewing all our cinemas up in Nottingham. I know them well enough!

Re: Drive
That will be a good read for anybody living there. I'm sure it will be just as humorous.
Hope the screens are a decent size unlike the Odeon on Tottenham Court Road.

Yeah they're all pretty decent actually and students get 2 for 1 at Cineworld via studentbeans so it's only £2.75 each. Makes me gasp even more when I return to London and see the prices!

Re: Drive
Saw this yesterday at WIQ too, but I wasn't amongst the people who got a free t-shirt. I really liked this film, although I have to agree with raj101 that the plot was sometimes very far-fetched. The cinematography and the soundtrack were great. I couldn't get the main song out of my head afterwards. 8.5 / 10
However, my oh thought the film was boring (too slow) and didn't like the story.

Re: Drive
I have to say, the first half of this film was horribly pedestrian. A truly cringeworthy attempt at portraying blossoming love, which was rushed so much and was impossible to believe in. A good 10 minutes overall were spent with those two just looking at each other without any dialogue. It was a very, very poor opening, as bad as any I can remember. That aside, I thorougly enjoyed the second half. It just completely flipped from a soppy shambles to brilliant bloodfest. But that's not enough for me. I thought the plot was pretty poor and predictable. And no amount of unexpected violence can make up for that (as entertaining as it was). The soundtrack was also baffling. It was SO 1980's, and I thought it was quite out of place at times. I don't think I could give it anymore than three stars. My head has to overrule my heart on this one. It simply wasn't good enough for the first half an hour or so. It was actually laugh out loud bad.

Re: Drive
Pretty violent, a little too much so for me, but no real problem as I just shut my eyes! Very slow to get started and the main character was the most calm, quiet, slowest of action heros I have ever seen. The film although seemed to be slow moving with not a lot of action at times passed much faster than I expected. From the gore and violence I can understand why this film was rated 18. It was better than I expected, and I did like the fact that the main character was so different from every other main character in an action movie. I think that there may be scope for Drive 2.

LOL, I am glad I wasn’t at WIQ yesterday, I am not sure I would have coped well with the incompetence, the noisy latecomers and a_person’s level of anger!
